Of some countries I've gone to, I'd have to say Canada and Italy. Both treated the Mrs. & I pretty well, especially in the urban areas. In Canada, as long as you don't behave like a lout you're treated no better or worse than a Canadian, which is cool. In Italy, the atmosphere was mostly sympathetic. BTW, while the McDonalds near the main train station in Rome is cool for Americans, and Italian food is great, don't order Chinese food there. You won't like it; trust me.

Iraq, Afghanistan - and recent addition of Iran. Prior to this Vietnam used to be the friendliest. Can't say about the future if the freaks continued to control Washington.
