I don't know about the guitar and the joint, but in a lot of ways Jesus was a hippie. He was opposed to the current authority, he believed in a certain value system and didn't think it was important that other people disagreed, and so on.

But there are a lot of things that Jesus said and did that current hippies would NOT like, I don't think.

Best wishes and God bless.

Jesus never sat for a portrait before in his life. He was not a man of vanity. Paintings you see are always some person's imagined concept of what he or she thinks Jesus looked like.

Racist views are often used. You have a white Jesus with sandy blond hair and blue eyes.., and then theres a black Jesus with brown eyes and an afro.

The Biblical account clearly shows Jesus as a Jew and therefore brown, not white or black or yellow or red or even polka-dot. Jesus certainly was not even plaid.

The Bible also suggest that Jesus was rather plain, not handsome so that women would desire him or men. The following of Jesus had to be for the truth he taught and not because of some animal magnetism or Super Male Model status.

Thats the core of the matter. One artist painted a so called painting of Jesus and used a murderer from a prison to pose for this work. That my friend was callous.

Jesus as a long haired hippy is one of the most common misconceptions. Based on the biblical evidence I think it is clear that Jesus had short hair and looked just like a "normal" person.

Firstly, according to Paul, men wore their hair short. (1 Corinthians 11:14)

Secondly, Jesus often taught at synagogues and it is unlikely he would have been given that honor if he was a wild-eyed, long-haired space cadet. (Matthew 13:54 among others).

Finally, the reason Judas had to point out Jesus to the soldiers is because he looked just like a "regular person" and they would not have recognized him in the throng otherwise. (Matthew 26:48)

Get rid of the joint and flower, add some sunglasses, and we could have a modern-day Jesus! I wouldn't doubt that Jesus likes to rock, He is a pretty cool, funny, awesome guy! God bless!

He certainly wasn't a member of the establishment. He even said once that his purpose was to shake things up here on planet Earth.

Leave the joint out of it, and you probably have it about right.

This is how he looked:

Virgin Birth - Was it a preconceived notion?

What is the Imacculate Conception?

An Imacculate Deception?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

Jesus? Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.

They want everyone to convert to their non-thinking.

How have you seen Jesus.? I am impressed. He wasn't a white man with long straight hair. He would have been a dark-skinned, curly short haired man.

We do not know what Jesus looks like...those pictures you see of him are what artists want to think of Him as. There is no description of Him in physical form to work off of...so you have no clue what he looked like.

Oh my gosh are you that old that you saw Jesus? Or did you see a picture of him that was passed down from generation to generation?
