A young man asked Jesus what he had to do to have eternal life.
Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Mat 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
Jesus was not tolerant he let the man go.
Luk 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Jesus was not tolerant, but loving in that he always told the truth. If people were wrong he told them (do and sin no more) But he never compromised.
Show me in the Bible where Christians should be tolerant of sin??

Why do we say "Blessed Virgin Mary"??

Luke 1:48 - "all generations will call me blessed"
Luke 1:27 - "and the virgin's name was Mary"

*** SOMETHING TO CONSIDER WHEN YOU ANSWER ***

Do you get offended when someone insults YOUR Mother?

Don't you think Jesus, who was 100% God and 100% human, gets offended when someone insults His Mother???

*************** Please don't insult Jesus' Mother *****************

Ok, this is totally serious. I have been pondering this. Most of us have felt lust. Most of us(honestly)have had sexual thoughts(1 or 2)about the same sex. Hey, we are only human. But, we should not act on those thoughts and feelings of lust. Most of us don't. Because we know that being with the opposite sex is natural. I say that homosexuals are those people that acted on those lustful thoughts and got addicted to the lifestyle, because they could not resist. That they are not born gay at all, but rather a bit weak to act merely from a thought. I am not trying to be mean or anything. Can anyone give me some honest(not mean) feedback? Thank you for your answer in advance.

My son is 16 and very intelligent. He has scored in the top 5% of kids his age nationally on standardized testing. Yet he has a D for the fourth quarter in Geometry and holds a C for the year as of now. He also has A's in English, Chemistry, and a B in History. I have been telling him since half way through this marking period to pull up that grade and go for extra help. He doesn't always do his homework or study. He didn't go for any help even though the teacher offered. I told him at that time if he ended the quarter with a D he would be grounded for the first 3 weeks of summer.(working around the house, not going out) Even though he got good grades in his other classes and still will end the year with a C in geometry should he be grounded, if so for how long?

my name is Joellen.
it's always been mispronounced. it's supposed to be said like Jo-ellen. it's always been mispelled.
so frustrating starting new jobs and no one can get your name right, or meeting new people, or even meeting guys and they ahve no clue how to say your name....what a turn off esp when you tell them over and over.

worst one was my sister-in-law spelled my name wrong on one of our wedding gifts. not just the card, but the actual gift was this poem plaque with our names on top and my name was spelled wrong....the kicker:
we were friends and worked together and i sent her emails ALL the time with my "signature" at the bottom.

so, tell me all about the misimpressions people have about your name and how people get it wrong all the time!!!

how close is the countryside? I have been offered a job there and it seems ideal (good rail links, channel, not overly massive etc etc), but does the actual city as a whole differ from any other city in the UK, eg, B'ming'm, Exeter, Derby etc etc....

Thanks, I will be going there soon but just wanted to go armed with a little knowledge

I've realised as I get older that it is harder to define whether a person is good or bad (myself included). Take a friend of mine, she's caring, donates blood regularly, would drop everything if you needed help and yet her night time activities and morals are shall we say "somewhat questionable", how could I decide if someone like that is a decent person if things aren't quite so black and white anymore?
