I am very into geneology. If you contact me via my profile, I can do some looking for you (just thought I would offer).

But to answer your question, contact the court house, public records, and ask them the information that you are looking for. Most that I have dealt with are more than willing to help you. You will have to pay for some of the research (which is why I offered to help you with some things - I don't charge), and to get copies of records.

Like I said, contact me with the information you are looking for and I will see what I can find for you.

** Additional Information **

Judith Chastain Ballew
Born: 1690, Canton, Bern, Switzerland, Switzerland*
Married: 1730, Goochland, VA
Died: 1735, Goochland, VA

(* Some records have her being born in France or on the voyage to the US.)

Husband isn't known and there are no children listed for her. I did find her parents name and paternal grandparents information. Detailed information is going to be hard to come by in the US - you may have to contact people in Switzerland.

If you need more, let me know.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aMwH0

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Seeing as we were still under English control at the time you are looking for it may be you have to write to England. Go on line and check with VA and see if they have any of the old records. They may have but I don't think so. After the war many records were lost or destroyed. The best thing to do is try to find a member of her Family. Or if her church has any records. I would start with old court records. If this was one of those horrible witch hunts then the church may have records Good Luck.
