I just want someone decent-looking to see that I've a kind heart and a stellar, spunky, artsy personality: film, music, liberalism, creativity, you know name it. But when I see an attractive guy, I get so self-conscious and feel like running away.

what I have. It's happened a few times. I'm laying in bed and I hear a loud whisper calling my name. The first time was about 25 yrs ago. I've had it a few times over the yrs, and heard it this morning. The voice is so familiar, but I can't pinpoint it.

I was reading up on discrimination and stereotyping and was wondering, as a 4th or 5th generation italian-american, whether anyone knows of, or has experienced discrimination against italian-americans in either workplace or community settings; i know that crude stereotypes of italian-americans still persist, many centering around the culturally constructed image of the mafioso; yet, besides these, does discrimination exist anywhere in the united states, to any significant extent, against italians?

Soooo....let's see. i am 3 years older than him. he is first guy i've dated seriously since broke up with fiance 3 years ago. he is in college, but a partier, not usually what i would date but we click. i was moving to utah to be near bro after been dating bf a few months. bf wanted to come ..but yikes he's still in school! after much deliberation, decided he should come. he wants to run more, party less, take a break from those friends and this scene. SO we decide to go. word spreads across campus like crazy, to teachers, team members etc. i had qualms about him going cause i am older and thru college, but he had found good work out there and wanted a break. i told myself him getting off partying was more imp than school if that was what he wanted and he plans to come back, scholarships will still be in place. ANYWAY, last night, just decided to CHANGE ALL PLANS and neither of us are goin out west. stay here, him finiish school. my question is...how do i face all the people??

So many people like a person for who they see and not what they are, Looks is not near as important as what you are inside, wherein lies true beauty. Some of the best looking people in the world (Male and Female) are some of the ugliest ,because they only have exterior beauty
Do you agree

This past week my mom passed away at age 88. Her last words were "son, there is no Santa or Easter Bunny". Naturally I was and have been devastated since, not because my mom died, but because of her info after waiting 59 years to tell me this. Is this true? Does this also mean there is no Tooth Fairy?

Today a friend and I were in Burger King (I'm part Puerto Rican/rest European mutt, my friend full PR) and this guy overhears us talking to each other in Spanish and he started talking to us acting all "surprised".

According to him, he thought we were just "American" and was especially shocked of the thought of me having latin heritage (just because I have white skin, brown hair and light eyes). The guy was South American, do they all think that they are the only latinos or that all hispanics either are immigrants or indigenous amerindian?

And people say white people stereotype latinos and people who have latin blood and are white or black, but honestly I think its the ignorant South Americans/Mexicans who are even more uneducated about it. They don't realize that their language COMES from Europe and that its totally possible to be white (like me) or black and STILL be hispanic.

So why do people still have this image of a dark featured and skinned mestizo as the only latin

I act totally different around different people and i'm usually really shy. People can probably tell that i'm insecure and i want to be able to define myself and be that person butI'm afraid of what people will think, especially because i'm mostly known as the quiet one. Please help me, I don't care what you have to say every little thing could help!

Are women brainwashed to believe they are only good for Playboy or making babies?

Seems like many women(even men) are catty towards each other and cannot accept females as authority figures.
Cause if that wasnt the case there would have been at LEAST 1 woman President in America by now.......since the year America, land of the free and equal was born.

Over 200 years of "free and equal" and no woman President yet? hmmmmmmmmmmmm interesting.

And for those who are slow and will point out that women havent had the right to vote until recently...........THAT's exactly my point. It isnt free and equal then..... is it?????

Ok i am 16 and the other night i met this guy who i thought liked me at my friend's party (everyone there went to a different school than me).he was saying how he wouldn't mind making a move on me and later put his hand on my leg. and he later IMed me and we were talking and he was being really weird but he asked 'so tell me about yourself, what makes you you, etc.' and i didn't know what he wanted to know but i thought he liked me. but later he asked me for my photobucket login info and i said NO. that really creeped me out. and later i asked him if he liked me he said i possibly could but i would have to get to know u better. then i said same w/ me. and then he said 'well i keep my eyes open to girls all the time. so in truth i like alot of them. if you need to leave you can go now.' that was so rude and offensive to me. i thought he really liked me. so how can i tell earlier on he just wanted in my pants???

I am a 7th grade teacher. There are 60 kids in our 7th grade - it's a small school. There is ENDLESS drama and meanness among the girls. It is making me INSANE. Not only do the girls themselves get involved; parents also call the school, expecting us to resolve things. I barely have enough time in the day to teach what I need to, academically speaking -- I don't have ANY time at all to deal with this psycho-drama. What can I do? Every day, we have girls BAWLING, writing nasty comments in the bathrooms, putting up anonymous signs to each other in the hallways ("Stop the drama! Girl X and Girl Y, say you're sorry and make up!") etc. It's completely nuts and wearing me out. I find myself having trouble conjuring up the energy to teach, let alone deal with this nonsense. Any suggestions? Thanks tons in advance.

Ok well i am 16 and from preschool-8th grade i went to the same school and in 7th-8th grade i had the same group of 10 friends..we were all really close. we were the "popular people". then in 9th grade i switched schools and moved to a new town and i quickly made 1 really close friend. but she recently ditched me a couple months ago for this new girl and also a bigger group of friends. also this girl i knew a long time that goes to my school like hates me now for no reason and is a total B**** and she never wants me around. i think i may be too mature for these people and do not have the same interests as them anymore b/c i have no interest in getting popular or anything like that because at my highschool that involves drugs and sex and i don't want any of that stuff now. so what should i do?? even the really weird people at my school so to speak have friends. but now im a loner what should i do? i am in 11th grade right now. how am i gonna survive? WHY are my friends being such B****
