what I have. It's happened a few times. I'm laying in bed and I hear a loud whisper calling my name. The first time was about 25 yrs ago. I've had it a few times over the yrs, and heard it this morning. The voice is so familiar, but I can't pinpoint it.

it's always in my bedroom. I don't have any mental health issues. Seems like it's coming from my dresser in front of my bed. :( very strange!!!

O K I have a question for you .. Can you remember the first time it happen 25 yr ago if someone die in your family or if you went into a trauma of some kind / If so well the same person came back to warn you that something unhappy is awaiting you I am sure of one thing its somone from the other side and this person had been close to you when he was on earth so hes trying to warn you of a important event

Keep in mind, even when you're sleeping your mind is working quite hard. Your dreams keep it up and running pretty much all night, and it's quite possible that you were just adjusting between your "resting" and "awake" state when you heard that voice. I've heard things along those lines a time or two in my own past, and other than reflecting that it was "weird" at the time, I didn't let it bother me.

If it continues, I'd suggest seeing an audiologist, as there may be a hearing issue that needs to be addressed - and if they find nothing then by all means see a physician.

...but only if this becomes something more persistent. Every now and again (and from the way you mentioned it, it's pretty much a rare occurance) is not necessarily cause for alarm.

You say that you were not sleeping. Were you up and moving about or were you just waking up? Did you perhaps nod off for a second while relaxing in the bed? When we are waking up or in the process of going form deep sleep to light sleep to partial awakeness to complete awakeness we experience different things. It could be a sound, sight, smell or even taste. When you hear the voice can you make out what the voice is saying? If you can what is the voice telling you? I know you have said that you do not have any mental problems. I am not saying that you do. However, if you were to ask a person with mental problems if they had them they would tell you the same thing. That they did not have any. One more thing that it could be. Is your alarm clock turned on to a music station. You could simply be hearing the announcer. Good luck to you

That has actually happened to me twice... except it wasnt really a whisper so much as a growl. It also happened when I was laying in bed, and both times it was when I was waking up.

What I think happened was that I was still sleeping and I dreamt that I was awake in bed and heard what I heard. Thats probably what it is with you, too.

Depending on the frequency of it, and whether it says anything else, it might be a good idea to talk to a mental health professional.... just in case. I know, from my experience, that it freaked me out. I was scared I had snapped and I was afraid to tell anyone about it and it kinda messed me up for awhile, so it might be good just to put your mind at ease if it is freaking you out.

Take care.

That is scary when you think of it. It's never happened to me, and I don't know how to explain it. Has anyone past away in where you are living? That might explain some of it, but then a lot of people don't beieve in the supernatural.
