Is it having a better life than your parents had, being happy with yourself, being successful? All of these things seem to lend themselves to greed and selfishness. Is that what the American Dream really is all about?

I need some help for my sociology project.

As you go about your day, think of everything that would be different if you were a member of the opposite sex. What would be several things that would be different if you were the opposite sex? For Example, if you are on a sport team would you likely be on that team if you changed gender? Would you be playing a different sport?

Older citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others. BUT, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT the older citizens who took:

The melody out of music,
The pride out of appearance,
The romance out of love,
The commitment out of marriage,
The responsibility out of parenthood,
The togetherness out of the family,
The learning out of education,
The service out of patriotism,
The religion out of school,
The Golden Rule from rulers,
The nativity scene out of cities,
The civility out of behavior,
The refinement out of language,
The dedication out of employment,
The prudence out of spending, or
The ambition out of achievement.

I graduated from highschool on Tuesday night. It had been announced to everyone at my church. A lot of people congratulated me, but the few people who I had been real close to never even acknowledged my achievement. Well...I also had a graduation party today, and those certain people didn't even show up! It was announced to everyone, so that means that everyone is invited! They knew about it. One of them had the nerve to say that she was too big for parties. Yea right! This was a GRADUATION party! What is the real deal with these certain people?

What would you do and what do you think would happen in the world generally?

Was this book scientifically valid? Were the people that wrote this book found to have a lack of credibility? Even if the research was valid, is it our duty to attack such a book?

I've just watched the film "Idiocracy".
The basic premise is that, because humans are free to breed as they like, natural selection favoured the dumb (because there were so many) and survival of the fittest had gone out of the window.

The film is set 500 years from now where, instead of being all sci-fi with hover cars etc, futuristic earth looks like one big advertisement board for takeaway food and trash tv. The American President is a former porn star and pro wrestler, designer clothes are made by fast food chains, and humans are barely one step away from being cavemen again.

Anyway, my question - do you think this future could be likely, given that the poorly educated breed more than the educated?

I am 29, just finished my residency and am now an attending physician. I have always been a "nice guy". I am attractive and I work out several times a week. i am single, with no children. Here is my issue-when i was younger I never got a girl to really date me because of the nice guy persona that defines me. Girls always skipped me for the partying bad boy. I was alone. Now i have several women who ask me out. Most all have children and the bad boy guy they were with either left, are in jail, or the women got sick of them and ditched them. I refuse to get involved with anyone with children who is single due to the former reasons. Why should I put my time and resources into raising another mans child? I am just promoting that guys reproductive success while taking away from mine. Most of these women want me to raise there children but say " I dont want anymore kids" for whatever reason.

what would you do in my shoes?
ive started 2 look in2 phillipine brides
what did i do wrong?

Some people can have very low amounts of interaction with other people, and still feel comfortable around them. On the other hand, some people need to be in constant/moderate interaction to be comfortable around people.
