We have seen individuals and governments that do not act rational . Can't we overcome this if we humans act like human and join "TOGETHER" ?

Dear Abdul,

We can't as a group do this. It's our glorious simian ancestry.

Like chimpanzees, we go to the territorial border with our buddies, look for others who are different and pick a fight with them. We also throw out the smart nerd from our own pack and exile him.

The smart nerd sneaks back at night and kidnaps his girlfriend. They eventually win a war with the pack that stupidly send him away. This is called "progress!"

We can't overcome this and all the utopias set up to create a nice world have failed or turned into dictatorships.

acting like a human is not being peaceful with everyone it is finding or being born into a specific group of people and fighting to survive. it is a kill or be killed world out there and most use common sence to get thiers before someone else comes along and snatchs it up. others wait for someone else to get it and then just take it from them. and then there are the scavengers picking up what is left lying around that nobody else wants. it is in our nature to not just trust that people are good intentioned and to see those that we do not know as a possible threat. the only way that this idea could ever work would be for every single person in the world to simaltaneously start thinking exactly alike and that would never happen so to even hope for anything like this would be a complete waste of thought and time. people do not think the same and therefore will disagree. when people disagree then they both think they are right wich causes conflict. life is full of conflict. thats just the way it always has been and always will and there is nothing anyone can ever do to change that. it would be like trying to turn a dog into lama, impossible.

Why ask why?

We act like humans: we are not a rational species. No species is.

Rationality, like religion, is a way that our self-aware species justifies our depredations.

The dream of "The Brotherhood of Man" is just that: a dream.

This does not mean that you cannot make the world a better place by politeness. We are a social species, and thrive on togetherness.

Rather than beat your head against the wall over the Inhumanity of Humans, I would advise a guerrilla campaign:

Smile, be confident, and treat every new acquaintance as your new best friend.

That, more than anything else, will really piss off the Forces of Impolity

Nature does not care. It just survives.

History is full of circumstances in which deprecatory societies took advantage of weaker societies (that, made empires). Empires made use of the resources, including the people as slave or warriors. That system lasted, without any make up, until after II world war. Now it continues under more indirect forces and some kind of justifications.
My opinion is that it is enough, we should move some ladders in the human evolution.

If we want to survive, we will have to start controlling behavior especially if population keeps growing. Most people won't like it but maybe a solution is Science, with emphasis in Sociology, Psychology and Biochemistry.

If we want to survive we will have to imitate ants and termites.

The one thing humans forget is that we are animals. So acting like a human would mean acting like an animal. Being that physically aggressive behavior is not socially acceptable. we adapt and prove our strength in other ways. Everyone wants to be the alfa in some way or another and when one feels inferior he/she begins to act irrationally.

Our institutions and government can only act as rational or caring as we as individuals are.
the journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step.

Because we all have different beliefs. What you might consider good others might consider bad. You could probably find most people who could work together some of the time, you could even find some people who could work together all the time, but you will never find all the people working together all the time...clashes is bound to happen, its just human nature. We all think differently, it's what makes us unique.

Actually, humans are rational. And, they respect only what they want. Until there is only one gov't, one goal, we'll take on all the chaos of the world. (Funny, the only society w/ this united system of existence are the... Ants.)

That is just it.. we are human. We don't think alike, act alike and don't always like the way others do... so we won't join together and I am sure it is only going to get worse.

This almost belongs in philosophy- humans will NEVER come together (as a whole) because there will always be the yin/yang factor- cannot have one without the other.
