A person. We all recognize cultural diversity. It's expressed in different ways. If you are talking about the PC connotation and are using recognizes as a euthanism for supports and cultural diversity is a term used to apply to refusal to assimilate then you can substitute idiot for recognizes cultural diversity.

A nation cannot survive divided. Above all else people must have a common idenity for a nation to survive. If your nation is in the Olympics all members of that nation should be rooting for their countrymen not because of skin color, gender, religion, politics but because by being fellow members of the same nation you have something in common with that person. Something that transcends the differences and makes all in that nation brothers/sisters united for a common set of causes and purposes. The rest of the time we can fight each other all day and night but if threatened from outside we will drop those differences and remember that we are one people.

Cultural diversity as defined by the PC term is a description of nations within a nation. Never in history has that survived long and it has consistently been a recipie for genocide and civil war. People give alligence first to some sub-group and culture then to the nation maybe if they feel like it. Some are actively opposed to every aspect of that nation and exist as a group primarily to bring about the downfall of the nation they reside in. That is not diversity that is low grade civil war.

Intelligent, open minded and realizes the importance and significance of living in a culturally diverse nation. If we all looked and acted alike, this would be a boring world to live in!

If you are referring to a person who recognizes the differences and then knows how to handle such differences, that is called being "culturally sensitive or aware"
