Is it a crime to have a sense of humour?

Never been to BC, have you? A garden in the middle of the desert.

That is a very thoughtful and appreciative answer. Thank you.

I don't see how you can become too P.C. since pc means to me that you're tolerant and respectful-how can you ever be too tolerant and respectful? Canadians have a reputation for being open-minded, kind, non-violent, good-humored, tolerant, thoughtful, and respectful, not just of each other, but nations throughout the world. I wish Americans were known for of any of those qualities. Instead we're thought of as closed-minded, rude, violent, intolerant, non-thinking, and disrespectful bullies, or worse.

Sensitive, maybe. Overly PC, yes.

Sharia law in parts of Ontario? Come on.

An uproar over Andre Boisclair's 'slanted eyes' comment?

Hassidic Jews being offended and demanding that the local YMCA get rid of their big windows so they would not have to look at women WORKING OUT? And the YMCA actually covering all of them!

We're not THAT BAD. But some of it is a bit ridiculous. We're very proud of our reputation, of being known as a tolerant and peaceful nation, so that we allow some cultures to enforce their rules and laws when they are not in accordance with Canadian law. We don't want to 'offend' them. Tolerance, yes. But Sharia law in Ontario? That is absolutely insane.

I don't know.
Let me ask you, are you Canadian?
Are Canadians as nice as they seem?
Do you have warm summers?
Seems like a really great country but, I can't deal with the thought of forever winters. When is it warm? I'd love to visit Canada and have a look at a clean country for a change.
oh Canada, our home and native land..........

Probably. Canada is perceived as being extremely bland from an American point of view. But unfortunately the USA is headed in the overly PC direction too.

lemme tell you, i love canadians and the canadian culture. as an american that grew up in missouri i, for one, can say that there is alot of violence in the world, and that if the world was as sensitive as canada then we would all be alot happier.

better than being desensitized and cold.
