It seems to me that in America being introverted is seen as something negaive which is ridiculous! What is so great about being friendly! Are other societies more adaptable to an introverted personality?

I am taking a sociology class where I need to interview 7 single male parents and 7 single female parents. If you could please answer these questions honestly so I can write my paper that would be great! Ofcourse everyone will be anonymous! But I do need 7 of both men and women that are single parents for a total of 14 people.

1. What are the 5 most difficult problems that you face as a single parent?

2. What are the 5 achievements that you are most proud of as a single parent?

3. What 3 ways could society/goverment assist you in fulfilling your obligations as a single parent?

Thank you so much, this will be a great help!!!

Hi guys, I have a research essay due in for my sociology unit, the catch is, I am required to devise a question of my own.
The unit itself is about social movements, social theories. And the essay question's focus is to be on contemporary social movements, or problems in social movement theory.
The essay can look at historical case studies, but must be answered from contemporary perspectives and what not.
So, does anyone have any ideas? I'll still be talking to my lecturer about it, but I thought you guy's might have an idea for a question.
Thankyou.
Btw, this is for a third year class at University.

Resolved: The United Nations' obligation to protect global human rights ought to be valued above its obligation to respect national sovereignty.

Basically, for an argument in the proponency, important points include that it is ethical to protect humankind in general. One of the UN's goal is to protect global security, and since the end of the Cold War, there has been a dramatic decline in number of wars (Human Security Report). This is mostly, if not entirely, contributed to the work of the UN.

For an argument in the opponency, I can point out that choosing to intervene in independent nations in what choices they make may create war. However, that can easily be argued by the information I had listed above. Don't know how I can protect myself from that sort of argument.

My arguments are rather weak right now. Can someone help me out with their opinions? And how would you argue with my critieron?
