Why do Filipinos like visiting malls?is there something that attracts them?does anyone know an answer based on a sociological point of view?

Filipinos due to scarcity of computers dont use the websites to shop for innovated products. In the malls, we see those products for at least we will not be left behind as to fashion, etc. We go to malls because we experience fineries in life which most of us cannot afford to buy like seeing chadeliers, big screen tv, nice dinning places, etc.

Given the huge number of malls in the US, and the fact that most of them are aboslutely packed most of the time, you'd have a hard time convincing me that this is any kind of filipino trait that's not shared with any other culture...
Having spent quite a bit of time in the Philippines, however, I would say that Filipino teens especially spend more time in groups than US teens do -- they do *everything* with a group of friends, even dating. Since the malls are air-conditioned, safe, and a good place for groups to hang out, it would make sense for them to spend time there...
The air-conditioned part was particularly welcome for me :)

The first explanation that comes to mind is that a mall is nothing but a marketplace. The marketplace has always been a place to hang out, see people, grab a meal and so on. Perhaps in the Phillipines in particular, the marketplace is where you go to hang out!

lol my husband is filipino so the best thing i can say to this is..... filipinos always seem to have good style.... and alot of them are up to date on there clothes... so there probably always there buying new clothes!
