It seems like a lot more of our youth of all races have become more violent towards one another, I feel it has a lot to do with not letting them be kids, everyone is putting so much pressure on them to grow up so fast, get their careers started, get into a relationship, on top of all the other crap ut upon them, are they gay or straight, are they going to a party and get druged or raped. Man, we are leaving one hell of a world for our kids aren't we? So next time you see a kid getting violent think about how you let them down by not keeping it a safe place for them to grow up.

Is this question too subjective to possibly answer?

Think about this. The First generation of Americans were most likely very violent. They fought in the french and Indian war. They fought the british in the revolution. They fought each other in the wiskey rebellion. They owned and beat slaves! They had dozens more wars with indians. Arron Burr shot Alexander Hamilton in a dual. You would have a hard time finding an American of that generation who didn't own a gun and hadn't killed someone.

your question is politically incorrect!.The young generations are more easily exposed to violence and sex by the media and the "young blacks" as you call them are not the only ones you shall be asking about. All the last school shootings we have seen in the last years (Columbine i.e.) were not young blacks related. All young blacks, or whites, or Hispanics,or Asians are more violent then previous generations because we see them that whey, I guess it was better in the old days when the violence was kept away from the cameras, books, music and we where aloud to close our eyes and ears to the reality of human nature. The world is violent in nature, us humans are trying to change that by setting laws and rules to stop our natural violent behavior so that we can coexist whit a reasonable amount of peace. Blacks, Whites,Hispanics, Asians...It doesn't matter, your question is racist if you only ask about young blacks instead of the entire young generation.

Blu, truth is we make our own place in our lives, monetarily. It must start when we are young and make good decisions based upon our monetary goals in life. Fact is, many very young people have become internet millionaires. Why? Because they had the intelligence and applied it too. Their result of hard work has paid off and will for years to come. There are opportunities for all ages...you just have to set a goal and never give up! In the end, we are responsible for what we have, or don't have. I am no where close to being upper class, monetarily. However, I am secure and way too young to collect any social security benefits. When James was still living, we were upper middle class, but the moment he died and we lost his six figure income, I became a person in the lower income range. Talk about readjusting life! We never had any assistance while working hard, doing without to save for old age and paying for colleges where we and our daughters attended. No food stamps, nothing. We simply kept our goals in focus and I can fortunately say that I am not in need of assistance now...I simply have to live smartly. My husband and I worked and went to school at night. It was not easy, Blu, but we certainly planned our futures too. This, is what the younger generations must do too. Adjust, never give up on their goals and plan for the future the best they can.

all are more violent, not just blacks. they just have different attitudes sometimes. when different cultures mesh, theres going to be influences, some positive, some negative. most times it takes a generation or 2 before everything is accepted. america is changing faster than ever. the white people are slowly turning into a minority. the demise of their power will be caused by their own democratic process and their stupidity. woops, i got away from the question. yeah, they probably are.

Yes they are. Teens in general are more violent than previous generations for the simple fact that there is more technology than before.

I don't believe that's true. I think that the typical black youth's violent tendencies have remained constant, through the years. The problem is that these tendencies are not countered by the white young men anymore. White males have gone soft, and that makes the black males seem more violent ....and since their violence goes unopposed, it naturally escalates.

thats a very prejudice question
because i know blacks who would cause less trouble than me
the little wanna-be's are getting worse, as technology is getting better
But in perspecetive, everthing is as bad as it was for the time
its more dangerous (i have to suffer from this (curfew, can't bike farther than a block at night...) if you ever herd of mayfair mall)to be outside, and sometimes inside, but remeber, its also the little white boys, and the little hispanics and asians too
It aint just blacks
and it aint just boys
(but it mostly is)
