and the most savage/barbaric minds of the 20 century origin from the same area ? Iam speaking of germany/Austria of course where we find Hitler and company and at the same time Einstein Wernher von Braun (if you are american and dont know who that was hit yourself with a maze) the scientists who pioneered on the helicopter, submarine modern tanks (feel to lazy to look up who they were).

Well thats my question really, what do you think of it ? Do you think its just a crazy coincidence, do you think there is some kind of connection, do you think it refelcts genius or men as a whole ?

How was Hitler brilliant ? Actually even if he would have kept winning and winning he set mankind on a path for self destruction. When everyone would have been beaten and Nazis would have roamed the earth and there would have been noplace to expand to what would have become of the ever increasing population ?

Of course not all Americans are or were stupid. But in Germany you had an extreme output of genius and madness during EXACTLY the same time frame, which was beyond anyone did ever dreamed of or imagined. (positive and negative ausschwithz later apollo 11).
Just wondered what you all make of it ? Maybe there is some connection ?

Germans are very organized. These scientists weren't responsible for the death camps

I agree- the Germanic area seems to have produced some pretty amazing extremes.

I agree- Adolf Hitler was brutal and barbaric, but he was an amazingly effective public speaker- like Chopin on the piano!!

But I still think that the most well-rounded genius was Leonardo da Vinc-- He had ideas about manned flight, submarines, various methods of locomotion, the workings of the human body, etc... and he lived a darn long time ago!!

Oh, and he was Italian!!

What the heck is your question? Please edit.

Edit update: I will address this notion that Hitler was either brilliant or a genius. The fact of the matter is, he was neither. He was a weird little man who was a racist moron who happened to be at the right place at the right time and could speak to the masses. If he had not been a raciest and had he really been brilliant he would have won the war. How is that? Had he been brilliant, he would have let his generals (it was his generals who were brilliant) fight the war. If he had not been a raciest he would not have chased out his Jewish scientist and they would have discovered the bomb first and the rest would have been history. His ignorance was the absolute reason for his own demise.

Hitler wasn't a genius however he had excellent strategists on his side that were able to plan attacks. When Hitler himself got involved with anything it generally failed miserably. An example of this would be when he decided to follow Napolean's strategy of invading Russia. He was fortunate to have the likes of Rommel and Spee, and the fact that he had the Japanese backing up his insanity also made for a strong military force.

What would you have us think of it? A maze? Hit myself with a maze/ A mace maybe, but not a maze, unless you are playing dungeons and dragons. To lazy? Too lazy?

And here in America we had a bunch of nobodys?I am not sure where you wanted to go with this but it went absoluely nowhere. But that is not uncommon for you.

great minds and great people inspire greatness from others. If you are a good painter then all around you will learn your ways and be good painters too...thus why so many came from the same area for brilliant minds...some, like Hitler, had a twist as well, but were brilliant otherwise.

look at your question (if you can call it that)....
everyone you list was looking for only one thing.. a better (i.e., more efficient) way to kill.

I don't know that this qualifies as "genius" or "socio-path". They were not working on ways to heal the world, or end war, or create Utopia; they were looking for ways to make better bombs, weapons, weapons delivery systems, etc. The only difference was that Adolf didn't go about annihilation in a socially acceptable manner.

Hitler was indeed barbaric, but he was also a brilliant mind like the rest on that list. One of the best public speakers of all time.
