I think it's best to be an entrepreneur. Self-employed.
Knowledge isn't bound to the confines of books. Some people who live by the books aren't as "smart" as they THINK they are. The ones who are self-taught are usually the truly smart ones.

Observation is the TRUE key to knowledge. Knowledge is everywhere all around you not locked solely in books. Everybody has access. Academia has its benefits in exposing you to varieties of knowledge you may not naturally be inclined to want to observe but it is only one of endless forms of learning.

It's really about connections & being able to get past the hirer's built-in prejudices to get jobs today. They really don't necessarily hire you based on your ability, they hire you based on the image you present to them. It's all about the perception. This is why there are a lot of F-ups going on in organizations. Incompetent individuals making up the majority of the business who got in based on slipping past the employer's prejudices and getting the right connections.

When you are your own boss you write your own rules & your ability will be more the reason people use your services than not. It still depends on connections & prejudices here too but a display of ability can get you in the door here negating all that.

Get the degree if you feel it will help. I don't want to discourage you about that but keep in mind what REALLY gets you a job. Only few professions TRULY NEED a degree & these tend to be for example in the medical field. The degree is supposed to note that your knowledge & practices has been observed by others so you can be trusted operating on someone's life. Even so some doctors with degrees don't know what they're doing either but it's supposed to be a marker of proof that you've practiced the techniques & learned the knowledge necessary to become a doctor.
It IS possible that some shaman or medicine man can know how to heal the body without a degree but degrees were put up as the proof so you didn't have to guess (you only get one chance to guess wrong).

Many other things are often able to be self-taught. Which shows initiative. You actually learn better that way I think. More completely than you do in textbook form.
It worked for me learning how to play keyboard by ear!

Obviously having one is much better than not, but i find these days nearly everyone has one and to really put you atthe top of the league, having extra things PHD, post grad certificates, work experiences, voluntary work etc all put you way ahead of those with only a degree. If your looking to do a job related to geog all the better, however not everyone goes into a job that matches with the degree they did. I am in first year of uni. All the best to you.

Ha! he's talking about the Scottish ceremony of Freemasonry. A carry close Mason could elect to develop right into a Scottish ceremony or York ceremony Mason (or both). contained in the Scottish ceremony the ranges flow as a lot as 32. The thirty third is a Honorary degree bestowed upon Scottish ceremony Masons usually in line with their community/public service to boot as service to the fraternity. i imagine once you're a Mormon, you're Mormon.

Of course it s a good thing - any form of education is fantastic, just think of all the poor people out there that cant even get a primary education let alone a degree. Don't waist your chance now that you have it, reach for the stars and you will be rewarded.

Education is always a valuable thing to have. I have seen in many situations where people are literally (and financially) saved by education. I would recommend taking that course.

It shows you are a well-educated and motivated person.

Hope this helps!
