Dyslexic, isn't something that goes away, it's something one learns to cope with. When I was 9 we found out I was dyslexic and now at 23, I'm still dyslexic. I have trouble with numbers and sometimes I need to learn things differently.

Dyslexia is not something one can "outgrow." Successful adults with dyslexia have learned to adapt so they can communicate with non-dyslexics. Having dyslexia is not an excuse for poor language skills.

I tach adults and I have a few dyslexic students, yes, even as adults they still have problems. they tell me that it's not as bad as it was when they were children, but it's still very noticeable. that is why they chose carrers that don't involve much writing. some of them are still often judged or ridiculed by others, this is really sad.
