When I look back, I feel regret after regret. Regret about going to the wrong school, regret about being friends with the wrong people. I feel that I have not maximised and made the most out of the opportunity available. I feel that I have missed out on good things in life as well as in the world.

How does one deal with such a feeling???

If anyone can explain this, or have some knowledge about any of it, please inform! I am quite curious.

Since my mother died in 1997, I havn't had any nightmares. I just dont get them anymore. Is this normal? Why?

Once I was almost asleep, but I heard an evil laugh (It sounded like I would describe an evil laugh, slow and deep). I could feel I wasn't awake when the laugh started, but it stretched out for about 6 seconds or so, and at least four of them I was wide awake staring at the roof (which was bright with glow in the dark stars [dont laught, im renting the room adn it belongs to a small boy] indicating it wasn't a long time ago that I turned the lights off). This laugh kinda freaked me out at the time, and the sound echoed through my head for quite some time. This must have been a dream of some kind, but can anyone explain it otherwise?

Many Self defense courses and teachers recommend calling out "fire" when attacked. As this is a potentially life or death situation, it is important to know what the evidence is, if any. What studies / experts or experiments support calling out "fire". Are they proven to be the best words to utter? And how do we know? Would "police!" be a better choice of words?

When I last had a dream of flying, my X was the first one to actually hit it right on, when I had told her that I had been flying in my dreams, she replied:"Hard work, isn't it ?"---Can anyone relate, I realize that this sounds like a ridiculously stupid question, but ther are no words, and if you've been there, you'd know what I meant.---Thanx

I am always sick (not hypocondriasis), always complaining and when things are fixed, something else is wrong. I don't know what this is called. I honestly feel that things aren't right in my life, and that some people victimize me. I guess this just isn't the way things are.
What do I have? Why do I feel this way? Is there help out there? I want help...

I am 24 years old and very confused about what to do with my life. I have two areas of interest - 1. Social Research 2. Start a charity foundation.
In my family, my parents have very little confidence in me. Mainly because I have gone through various 'phases' without accomplishing anything. My mom's nature is such that she tends to get excited about things ( different types of food, clothes, exercise etc etc) in the early stages, then just get bored with it and quit. And she thinks that I'm like that too( which is not entirely wrong). So whenever I make a decision she just thinks that I'll get bored with it and quit after sometime. I want to help people. That’s what I absolutely love to do. I love to be there for people who need help. That’s why I like to start the charity foundation, but I'm worried - that if I tell my mom about this she will just discourage me or that after sometime I'll get bored with and quit adding more to my list of failures!.

I went for my annual check up today. And the lab tech called my name and led me to the lab. She told me to put my hand straight and she started taking my blood. After everything was done. She said, "all set". I smiled and said thank you. She just nodded. She didn't even smile.

I think a smile can make a huge difference. I wasn't expecting her to smile or wasn't upset that she didn't smile. But I think for every career, on of the most important thing is to be able to look and the patient or the customer and smile with a warm heart. Do u agree ? Did u have similar experience like me, where u wished that person smiled a bit ??

I refer to myself as "dollie," i consider myself a doll, i have for as long as i could remember. One of the cute ones, for childern to play with. With pigtails, and adorable outifts, not like a Barbie. I dunno, like an object in a sense, but only a doll. Does this mean anything?

I have anger issues. I tend to get angry quickly, lash out at the object of my anger, and ignore the consequences. I have a pretty obnoxious co-worker, who says stuff to get me riled, and it works obviously. I was wondering if anyone had some tips on how to ignore this person? Thank you.

"show me who your friends are and I'll show you who you are"

I was thinking about this quote, and how it worked with me.
I have many friends who use drugs, so i wondered if that says anything about me?
i haven't used drugs, but if I choose to have druggies in my life, does it mean that I somehow want drugs in there too?

I seem to be unable to feel remorse when i have done something wrong, i cry, but i don't care, i only cry to get sympathy i presume, and have me off the hook. I feel starved of someone to talk to sometimes. I have an idea of manipulating information in a certain way to use as energy. No one believes I can do it. I wonder if it's because they don't understand the idea. I want to talk to the high school physics teacher about it, yet I always don't have the gut to go.

I know it is important to remain skeptical. So, I am in the process of making a blueprint and putting the idea in mathematics to see if it really can work.

Why do I keep not going to the physics teacher? Why do my friends and family laugh when I try to explain it to them?
