Just be happy that:

Number 1. That you can contribute more than her.
Number 2. You are able to contribute more.
Number 3. That you will not allow her to bring you down.
Number 4. You can feel blessed for your great parents.
Number 5. You understand that stupid and many other negative human attributes cannot be "fixed".
Number 6. That you will continue to have some fun every day.
Number 7. Society is saving millions by employing such people rather than keeping them in institutions.
Number 8. Your turn to make up the next reasons.

You will meet many people like this as you go through life.

I don't play along with their phony-ness. They might be all fakey and bubbly, but if they are a mooch, etc you don't smile back or play along with their act. Talk to them in a matter of fact tone, with an air of irritation. Eventually they will figure out that you are not buying their act and will find someone else to be phony to. Or, if they are stuck with you, they might realize that they are expected to pull their weight.
Good luck, I always hated group projects for this very reason - there's always someone that doesn't do their share!

By realizing that the rest of your life is not controlled by what she does or doesn't do. I know when you're working on a project with other people it's supposed to be a mutual effort on every one's part and when it's not it's very frustrating. But she's such a minor part in the rest of your life, that you can't let her have more control over the way that you feel than she already does. Deal with her when you have to, vent to friends and than forget about her until you next have to deal with her.

Are you the only one in the group that feel like that about her? If so you can tell her how you feel and suggest that she start working with the group. She cant just stay in the group and do nothing and claim the credit. Best of luck with this

This is where you learn how to motivate people. Try this; you can do the paper as a group then turn it in without her signature. Or you can look her in the eye and tell her get off your lazy *** and contribute or do it on your own.
Personally, I like to motivate lazy people through voice tone and pitch.

its sometimes hard to know what to do with fake people. just be glad your not like her, and try to act more real, while she still goes on acting fake. soon she'll catch on that people don't like her for acting like this. just stay polite and nice around her, even if shes being a total "phoney" or fake.

btw, when u said "phoney" at first i though you ment that she talks on the phone alot.. LOL

hope that helps :)

hand her the papers and tell her to get busy, or her name WILL NOT show up on the work.
