I appreciate all helpful input ......... I really suffer from this problem. I`m usually very good-natured and sacrificing with people but then ALWAYS end up either getting exploited for my good nature or taken for granted. This really hurts sometimes

I've been feeling really low recently for a number of reasons. I don't cope very well with these feelings, and tend to take my anger out on objects i.e. slamming doors etc. I tend to snap/burst into tears at the drop of a hat.

My dad does not seem to realise that there are reasons behind this, and shouts at me to go and see the doctor. I slammed one of the doors last week and the glass panel shattered into pieces. We are having problems at home, and I don't think he realises how they are affecting me.

I hate feeling like this, and want to get back to my happy old self. I feel even worse with guilt etc about how I've treated others while I'm feeling like this, but I really don't want to go and see the doctor. Are there any natural remedies I can take that are not actual anti-depressants that will make me feel any better. How can I make my dad realise that I am not simply being unreasonable, and that there are underlying factors that affect the way I've been feeling?

If we are nothing but matter and we are doomed to decompose in a relatively short time, what is the purpose of morality?
If human beings are merely atoms, what makes them any more important then a pile of stones?

I know I have different emotional actions/reactions at certain times of the month, and I know my physiology is affecting my mind to a certain degree, and for the most part I understand this is happening, but at others, I forget, and get into this emotional funk (like feeling as if I can't keep two thoughts together, yet still functioning at work and home) I'm beginning to wonder if these changes and differences have been with me all along and I never noticed? Or are they becoming more pronounced, and one day, I'm going to snap or something. Explaining this nebulous feeling to a physician just seems like I'm complaining about something imaginary.

What I mean by this question, are men so focused on the deed at hand that they completely block out everything else?
If my boyfriend is into a project at work, or home or painting or doing yard work or writing checks; it seems he can only do the one thing. He doesn't want to (or can't) be bothered with anything else while he is concentrating on the one thing he is doing. I have heard that MEN are like this. Women on the other hand can mult-task, doing 3 or 4 things at once. Is this a typical difference between men and women?

I have to do a character analysis on any character in any tv show, movie, or book. It can't be suggested that the character has a disorder. It has to be a mood, anxiety, psychotic, or personality disorder. I'm not very good with assignments that leave this much room to work with. I need some suggestions for a good movie or tv show or even a book that I could work with. It would really help if I know the book/show/movie or if it is really good and can take the time to watch it.
