It depends on the situation. I am a firm believer in sticking to your guns and your values and beliefs. However, there are times that we feel a certain way about something and maybe someone else has more experience in that area. We can always learn from other people and there are times that maybe we should be willing to change our minds to experience something new. Just be open to new things but always stand firm on your morals and values. No one should be able to change your mind about those things.

The members of a certain religion might point this out as a conflict where both party so wants their idea to be right that neither can see which is the best decision.
They would say that it's far less important as to who changes who's mind, and that you come to the right decision.
Forget about being wrong, and find who is most right.
To paraphrase them : Don't take it personally.

I suppose that would depend on the topic in which they are changing your mind.

for instance, if you told me you were going to kill yourself or others I definitely would want to change your mind on this. or if you are unsure of the decision you reached and were looking for an "out" then yes let someone change your mind.

however, if you have weighed the options and came to a firm and solid decision, then it shouldn't matter what others say - your mind is made up and it will not change - regardless the issue.

It depends. There is a saying that one should follow their heart. I believe that the heart can sometimes influence us to do the wrong thing. Some hold resentment, hatred, lust, greed, jealousy, and other things in their heart in what is supposed to be a heart that is pure and clean and full of love and all good things.Everyone's heart is not like that. So I say it depends on if your mind should be changed, or needs to be changed for the betterment of yourself and others. The mind influences the heart. If it needs changing so be it.

Sometimes we should be open to a little mind changing. Some things can only be decided by us and in some cases we really shouldnt let other people dictate what we think.

It all depends on who and why you want them to help change your mind. If it is an intelligent person you look up to and respect what they think/ their opinion. If they are just some random friend that wants to control everyone then don't listen to them. But all in all its up to you in the end - you feel in your heart weather your mind has made the rite decision.

It all depends on the situation. Now there are certain things of course not, you stick to your guns. But sometimes listening to friends and family is a good thing because they'll see something you might not have seen yourself. You should look at the whole situation before making your mind up about something.

people should be able to make up their own mind BUT; if a best friend/family member is willing to lend good advice then people should always concider it. maybe they want what is best for you . . sooner or later you will make a mistake somewhere in your life & regret on not listening to them.

Sometimes, yes.

You have to be able to admit when you are wrong about something, and sometimes other people can help you see that.

If it's something that is a personal decision that there is no right or wrong to, then no... you should stand your ground and stay true to yourself :)
