Is it because they "think" that if they accept something new, they must throw everything else they have already learned "into the trash"!

I have a HUGE fear of downing.
In the school pool my mates "Horse Play" by drowning each other for a while. I hate this sooo much and I cannot hold my breath very long, I start to panic. I am really afraid they will take this too far, as they do not care. I told they I hate it, but this just makes it more fun for them when I put up a struggle.
I am going to spain with them and in the beach I am afraid that without Adult supervision they will severly drown me. I have nightmares about it, they goin too far.
I am 15. What would you do in this situation? Talking to them will not work... HELP!

theory:
People that prefer dogs to cats are more outgoing, friendly, and social (wanting and needing to meet new people and make new friends). Where as, people whom prefer cats stay in a tighter (closer) circle of friends, more introverted, and not as social.

It has been suggested to me, by my psychiatrist, that I am a paranoid narcissist. I've been doing alot of research no the web, and am feeling that this assessment may be correct. What frightens me is that alot of what I'm finding says there is no cure or effective treatment for this personality disorder. I'm hoping and praying this isn't true.
Does anyone have experience with this? Can narcissism, or paranoid narcissism, as a personality disorder, be cured or effectively treated, thus allowing the disordered person to lead a relatively normal life?

so i was living with a guy (housemate) last year and we hung out a lot just in the lounge room- watching tv. one night when we were out i sat next to him to have a chat and i made the comment: " come on, talk to me as a friend" to this he got really upset and got up and walked out of the bar. i ended up sending him a message to see if he was ok but he didnt reply. a few days later we went to a music festival and that night when i was just dancing with friends he came up, grabbed my hand and put it on his heart staring at me. i know this seems silly but at the time i didnt even really register. then i went away for a bit and was planning to move out. when i came back i saw him and he had jumped on his drum kit he was just playing and staring at me. i tried to talk but he just kept playing. he bid me good luck and farewelled me. I really liked him the whole time- now it is a new year and i went round to say gday and him and his buddies didnt even acknowledge me. he didnt look at me.

This is something that I have always wanted to know.

Is there anything wrong if I were to enjoy watching the lunar eclipse? Is it stupid for me to do that? Will I be considered time wasting if I were to sit back to enjoy the event?

A few years ago, when I was still in the university, a lunar eclipse occurred. As this event was given some publicity in the local papers, I decided to join a group of people to watch the event.

Sometime later in the night, when I went to the lab to complete my research work, I brought up this subject to a schoolmate in the lab.

The schoolmate thought I was nuts to waste my time watching the eclipse. He also thought that I was an idiot to do such a thing, something all agile youngsters should never do.

Was it wrong? As far as I can see, I did not waste any time when I sat back to watch the eclipse. After all, some other university students were also with me. I had also just taken my bath and I was on my way to the lab.

What did I do wrong?

Can you ever remember a stranger who did you a favor or something good without anything in return... Most of the times I remember those bad guys, nasty and stupid strangers... Can someone relate to my experience? And of course... explain it. Thanks.
