I have dreams where there is a scene, and in the future, whether it's the next day, or two months after, that scene actually occurs. Is this considered dejavu? I remember a lot of my dreams.

I see how other people are doing in their lives, what they have done in the past and I sometimes get jealous. I went from high school to college and went to school full time, and worked full time. I got married right away and supported my husband and did a lot of OT to support his credit card debt. I had kids and I've done EVERYTHING for them and all the housework, all while working part time and going to college full time. I see that I haven't had any fun in life at all. I have no memories other than being exhausted from working all the time. I am only 32 and I know that's not old but people my age are generally starting to settle down and I haven't had fun yet in life. I've always had to be in charge or be the serious one.
What is wrong with me? I have healthy kids, BUT my husband has been unemployed for a year and I don't have steady work. I still can't have fun in life. I wish I knew what was going on with me and why I felt like this. Will I ever have fun? Is it too late?

Rarely, if ever, does anybody use their real names on the web.
It is probably because they are afraid or just being like everybody else and choosing some creative name. (I think all those have been taken.)

Why do you choose to remain anonymous and not use your real name?

You're at a magc show and get called on stage. You're hesitant, but your girlfriends "convince" you. The magician brings out what looks like a sit-down-and-lose-your-head trick. You ask him not to remove your head. He says he won't, he'll just spin it round. You get in, worried. He does as he says, and spins your head right around. Amazingly, you're still alive. How did he do it? Then he does it some more, and whilst your head is facing backwards, he undoes some clips and lifts the box off with your head still inside! You wave your hands frantically through the space above your shoulders where your head should be! How is this possible? He turns you around to face the audience.... do you remain calm, enjoy the trick, or insist on being put back on your body? Would you try to escape the contraption and get your head off him?

The following scenarios consists of a wide variety of ethical dilemmas that can face Psychologists in the clinical and counselling fields. In order to resolve these dilemmas please use the American Psychological Association’s ethical codes. In providing your answers please ensure that you:

• cite all relevant codes
• clearly highlight the relevance of each code selected
• identify whether there has been an ethical breach with supporting evidence
• suggest alternative strategies or possible solutions to the dilemmas presented.
• format your answers in short-essay form.

a) After the first two sessions the client brings an expensive gift (diamond earrings) for the clinical psychologist which she graciously accepts. The client attends four more treatment sessions, and refuses to pay for them, and then terminates therapy. The therapist sends photocopies of the client’s file to a collection agency.

I read somewhere that the difference in treating depression/ anxiety with SSRIs or placebo is very small. Is this true? Could you please give references of sources/articles where the difference in efficacy is researched.

Hello everyone,

I'm dealing with an issue right now that's going to sound kind of crazy to you, but it's serious for me. I'm having some obsessive-organization issues. I find myself re-organizing my room, and everytime I do I still feel like there's something that isn't right and that I'll eventually have to organize that. But no matter how much I organize, I can never feel completely satisfied. This has gone so far that I have to have my computer and closet completely organized as well (it's even so weird that I freak out about certain clothing not being similar to other pieces of clothing.) I'm very insecure about this issue because I feel like being so organized makes other people feel that I'm too feminine or finicky. Does anyone else suffer with this issue or have any advice they can offer?

(Also, please don't just tell me to "get help" because I already have a therapist, but it's not quite helping.)

As in speaking from a scientific point of view. What mental changes need to be applied to the human mind in order to make one person grasp and apply knowledge, think more quickly and are who are more witty than another person? Is it the neural speeds between brain cells that make one smarter or is it elsewhere?

How can i change my own brain literally by altering neural speeds, re-balancing left and right hemispheres and becoming more creative, and change my personality overall. Also constructing a brain to allow me to have superior intelligence over all other human beings??? Is it possible to bang the left side of my brain so it becomes damaged and only my right hemisphere is working and i will more creative than ever?

I've recently begun a relationship with someone. I know she sees a therapist, but haven't pressed as to why. She both works & goes to school full-time in healthcare field. Here are the facts:1)she first came off as a very caring, vulnerable and sensitive person who's badly hurt by others; 2)stresses on a regular basis what a devoted and faithful person she is; 3)does well at her job and school, but always thinks she's going to fail and devalues her success. Talks often of just quitting; 4)turns on major charm for others around her at work, in public, then switches abruptly to saying how much she despises the person or they take advantage of her; 5)began our relationship by calling numerous times a day, giving lots of praise, then suddenly announced I wouldn't hear from her the next day; 6)then began accusing me of trying to monopolize her time; 7)is now hostile, self-absorbed, assumes worst intentions, says things nastily that could be said nicer then says I am taking too personally
