I've believed for a while that the easiest way to AVOID having schizophrenia is to love people and be involved in your community. These two things give you a sense of belonging in both your own life and the real world which keeps you from hallucinating or imagining other entities to sustain your attention.

So to cure it, I would say be honest with yourself and drop those entities which are deemed as imaginary or hallucinatory and relax with how you deal with other people. Be pleasant and blissful, and drop your responsibilities when you're relaxing. You should be enjoying your own existence and the presence of others, not making a job out of it or lying to yourself by driving yourself into needless deep thought.
