Infatuation doesn't last .. you lose interest in the in the person when they get serious, you look at the person as an object to satisfy yourself, if any trouble starts your gone, you get tired of the other person when they no longer are of interest.

Real love lasts forever, your willing to committ to one another for the rest of your lives, to compromise on important issues, your thoughts are only of your beloved you dont' continue to look for something better or take any opportunity to cheat.

I think many people who are looking for love can be fooled by infatuation. But a true love will show itself. Sometimes infatuation becomes true love. Sometimes its just a fond memory. I remember my "first love", or infatuation. It still holds a special place in my heart.
