I never had this feeling before, i used to like my birthday and this year i wished it never come. And, it is not due to the age thing, because I just turn 19 and yeah i think that is still okay.

My husband works with a girl who has a fear of bananas (the fruit, that is, in anticipation of any smutty minds out there!). It's a full on fear, too. He found out about it when he walked into her room one day whilst eating a banana and she ran screaming into the cupboard. They've been really mean and changed her desktop wallpaper to various images of the feared fruit.

So, do you know of any similarly off the wall fears? Anyone nuts over nuts?

For the last three months I have had bad anxiety, strange ideas about aliens or supernatural beings, wierd sensations like seeing monster heads on people, hearing buzzing noises. I see patterns everywhere, faces inserted into innocent objects that look at me, monitor me. I get the idea occasionally that people are influnced by these things to torment me.

I've been to see doctors, psychologists and others trying to get treatment. I've been put on antidepressants for anxiety and I'm getting counselling. But no-one tells me what is wrong with me. All I am told is that I'm "sensitive", "vulnerable to stress", "having some psychotic symptoms". The closest thing to a diagnosis I have had is "psychotic anxiety" but I can't find any description of that...

I get the feeling they are not telling me something. Why won't they give me a diagnosis, even though I have demanded more information many times?

About 3 times a minute during waking hours, a thought enters my mind that is not desired. Is there a way to block this process? How can I stop thinking? I only want necessary thoughts.

Someone asks a question you just don't want to answer. It could be for any reason. Maybe you don't want to "go there" and get involved, or think they should figure it out by themselves, or they are asking so they can get you to be their main reason and excuse for doing something.

Whatever the reason you have to answer back - and address the question (you can't say I don't want to asnwer this or figure it out for yourself) - you just don't want to answer their question.

Maybe theres a great response out there that I just haven't figured out!

I have written my essay on emotional development of children. However, I am having problems linking it to appropriate theories/theorist such as Erikson, Maslow, etc. Can a psychology student or anyone with ideas of any theory and that can explain in a simplest form. Thanks love.

Well, I contacted my ex after 6 months - since we broke up...
I met this person last year, and we were in love, we broke up 6 months back - and today i decided to just say hi online -


1st he was very nice to me, and then after sometime, he started to act crazy - he started name calling - he said i was crazy - and then said he is in love with another women - I gave it back to him, however I just dont know why he behaved this way, or what i did to deserve this??

he was so rude, waht can i do?? what do i do abt it? why would he act this way when all i did was be nice and say hi?

People say that people have to die to make life interesting and I dont believe that becuase how interesting can life be if the people we loved and looked up to had just died. This brings sadness and anger to those people and that is not interesting!

there are these ppl i work with ... actually they are below me buti think they may have an inferiority complex? but they always give me attitude and i just end up getting exasperated and pissed off. how can i retain my cool and put them in place....PLEASE really need help with this! i am not naturally bossy but usually ppl just listen to me coz they are supposed to but these women just drive me up the wall!
