My parents house is haunted. From the ground floor, you can hear footsteps of someone above you when no one is upstairs, and from upstairs, you can hear furniture being moved around when no one is downstairs! Several people (even those that have not heard that strange things happen in our house) have seen a woman walking down the stairs in the house, and also have heard a man talking to them. Things also get misplaced a lot- it tends to be remotes e.g. air conditioners / tv remotes will go missing, and then will turn up in a huge pile in an obscure cupboard! I have even felt someone move my leg in my sleep (it woke me up), and will not sleep alone there! In the tv room, there is a storage room located behind the tv screen, and the door that leads to it is next to the screen. While watching tv, the door will open automatically several times (this cannot be explained by wind as you have to turn the knob in order to get the door to open! And i have tried to push the door from various angles to see if the latch is faulty, and it is not.)The house was built on an empty plot of land, and we have no history of the land. I am just glad i don't live there anymore!

I believe in ghosts. I have encountered a few of them. It wasn't scary, but a curious event. I believe they are real.

One experience I have had was when I moved into a new house. I was repainting the livingroom and saw a figure of a man, peeking around the hallway corner at me. This happened three times.
Later, talking to my neighbors, I asked about the previous owners and was told that the man had died in the house, from cancer. The neighbors showed me pictures of the man and it was the same figure, I saw in the hall.

I had an experience when I was a little girl. I was 8 years old. My grandma took me to this lady's house who was sick. All the lady friends and family where there. I went in the room when a religious Father was talking to the lady. They both pray together and the lady passed away in front of me. As I look at the top of her bed. I saw a white light on top of head bed rest. I look around and saw everybody crying and praying but I was confused because nobody saw what I could see. I pointed toward the top of the bed headboard, and told my grandma. Look Grandma! and she told me put your finger down is not polite to point. I think it might be the soul of this lady that I saw going up the ceiling, at first I thought it was an angel. But I want to point this out at this time I didn't have a religion or believe in God or angels. I just know that I had seen this divine identity or her soul leave he body, because I was Innocent and pure in mind, heart and body. As a teenager I experiences about feeling a precence in my room. I know it was spirits good and evil. I still feel a presence and evil presence but I know that God will take it away. Because of my previous spiritual experiences. I'm now a new born Christian. I also had previous near death experiences. I was near death when I was born, 3yrs, 5 yrs, 11 yrs, 30 yrs. The last one I was hit by a semi-truck in the Freeway. What I saw as a inocent little girl raised my believe that there's life after death.

The problem with asking about Ghosts here on Yahoo, is the reglious nuts that believe in the bible and not reality.
To answer your question: Yes!! I have a ghost here win my house.. It is my passed mom. I have seen her twice, and seen her actions (moving stuff around and a lot more) I never belived in ghosts but I kept an open mind. When my mom passed, I know for a FACT that ghosts ae real.

No credible evidence has yet been produced by anybody for the existence of ghosts.

The techniques used by so-called mediums who can apparently speak to the dead (e.g. John Edward) can be replicated by anyone skilled in "cold-reading". While this doesn't necessarily prove that they are not speaking to ghosts, it renders displays like those seen on "Crossing Over" and "The Sixth Sense" as not valid evidence for the existence of ghosts or an afterlife.

Photographs supposedly showing ghosts can be faked easilly, even using very old equipment, to a degree that skilled analysts often cannot conclusively identify fakes. As yet, no photographic evidence has ever been produced which could not have been attributed to fakery.

Other forms of support for the existence of ghosts (EVP, orbs caught on film, everything touted as evidence on that dreadful "Most Haunted" program) can all be replicated using mundane methods, meaning that none of them can be considered evidence for the existence of ghosts. Just because you hear a noise in the dark and don't know where it came from, doesn't make it a ghost.

Simply, there is absolutely zero credible evidence for the existence of ghosts. So my opinion is that they do not exist.

I have never seen a ghost but I do believe. I used to hear foot steps on the side walk outside of my bedroom window and there would be no one there. One night I even heard someone walking in my bedroom.
With my last pregnancy I decided to name her after my grandmother (if it was a girl). I would see things out of the corner of my eye, I would hear things, I could feel someone touching me. It really creeped me out. This happened all the way up to the date that I had my sonogram and found out I was having a girl. I think it was my grandmother reminding me to name my baby after her.

I used to live in a house that had a ghost. My dogs could see it. You would be watching tv and the dogs would be asleep and all of the sudden they would set up and just stare at what seemed to be nothing, but they acted like it was a person. I would always have my radio on a rock station, but if I left my room and came back it would be on a country station when I came back. My ceiling fan in my room would turn on by itself and the lights would turn on my themselves. One night when my mom was asleep she thought that I had came into her room and sat on the edge of the bed and put my hand on her leg and shook it to wake her up, but there wasn't anyone else home but her. It was kind of eerie living there. I guess he was a good ghost because he never really scared us or hurt us.

i've never seen a ghost myself but my close friends and family have seen the paulding light and i am a firm believer in it although it must be some weird science thing. The paulding light is located in upper michigan and is in the middle of nowhere.....if you drive through a certian intersection at night you see a light where there was once train tracks. Apparently scientists have studied the light for nights on end and never discovered the source but it is there every single night.

i grew up in a house with siprits, i also am living in a house with them now i believe....
growing up strange things would happen around the house without explaination such as tv's turning off and on and changing channels all by themselves...my mom said she has felt someone touch her feet or put a hand on her shoulder when no one was around, and supposedly i told my mom i had actually seen a ghost when i was about 3 or 4...the most memorable moment was when i was about 13 and had a comb lift itself off of my dresser and throw itself at me...explain that one lol!...i am not so sure if where i am living now is haunted but things have fallen off of secure places and things have been moved around and no one has supposedly done it, but who knows?

Ghosts are astral bodies of dead people. Every living human being has a corresponding astral body, and the astral body of dead people are termed ghosts. Astral bodies are like gaseous fluidic matter. It's somekind of entity, that's why called "astral". Sometimes it separates from the human body, called astral projection.

Nope, haven't seen one, haven't ecountered anything like that.
