My best friend (a guy, if that matters) had a dream that I fell out of a third story window, and died? What could this mean?

A dream of death is often a contrary dream meaning that dreaming of a death can sometimes mean a birth...or the start of something new. If there aren't any babies on the horizon, can it be that this "friend" likes you and is hoping to begin a different sort of relationship with you? Perhaps a romantic one?

Like i say to all people when they ask dream questions on here, its hard to interpret someones dream when you don't know them, so all your going to get here are educated guesses!
Just to put your mind at rest, he does not want you dead.
Dreaming that you or someone else dyes signifies that change is about to happen or you want change to happen, moving from life to death, or dreaming about someone being born, just means change.
Is there anything going on in your life at the moment that might make him concerned or worried about you? or is there anything you want changing that he is involved with too?
Talk to him, ask him if he's got any issues with you or vice-verse.

Death in a dream usually means the person has either made a big change in hsi/her life, or might need to.

it denotes a loss and that loss or mistake can damage you socially.Fall denotes loss in dreams and if you recover and rise up after a fall then you are going to recover it.
