I never had this feeling before, i used to like my birthday and this year i wished it never come. And, it is not due to the age thing, because I just turn 19 and yeah i think that is still okay.

You will have that feeling more often the older you get. I get that all the time too. I was even in Vegas on vacation last year for my bday and it just felt like another day.

Well, in some respects it is just an ordinary day. Nineteen is a big transitional age. You've graduated high school and are now expected to move on to being an adult. Maybe you are in your freshman year at college and that's been a difficult transition. Or maybe you have just grown out of being excited about a birthday. Lots of people of all ages prefer to ignore their birthdays and that's perfectly okay.

first- Happy Birthday!

second- there are a lot of landmark birthdays- 13, 16, 18, 21, 25, 30, etc. if you arent enthusiastic about one or two or any then thats fine. i look at my birthday as my new year- ok now i'm >>> last year was fun and now i'm ready for this year. another year older and another year of new adventures.

are you maybe nervous about getting older? more responsibility? if not, then maybe you are just over the whole birthday cake and balloons and that is totally OK.

I had the same thing when I turned 19, I think it's cause you're now an adult, and it's just like, there really isn't anything else special to look forward to (unless your in the US and still waiting for 21 to drink). Life just goes on, another year is just another year.

It's because 19 is basically a worthless birthday. You've already been 18, with all of those privileges, and you've still got 2 years before you turn 21...the next birthday that matters.

Birthdays are not as important as you become an adult. You might start to care again when you think you are getting older though, like 30 or 40 or 50!! I have an aunt that cried all day when she turned 50 and no one has let her forget it!!

You must be about 20. You will start to notice that birthdays arn't the huge buildup they once were. It means you arn't a kid anymore. You will also find, in the next few years (about 25) that "age" isn't really a big deal anymore, you will lose track of how old you are, and will find yourself doing the math in your head. Welcome to life........don't wait for it to start, cause it's already going full speed.

some birthdays i feel like that too, i think it has alot to do with your mood on that day, we pump ourselves up so much about oh my bday is coming and 5 more days then 3 more days and so on and then it turns out to be a bad day is all, dont worry about it, it happens to the best of us

It is because you are getting more mature and the fact is, that, your birthday IS just another ordinary day really.
