I'm doing a poll, kind of thing, and was wondering what your opinion is for a good element of sucess, for example, just to start the ball rolling, a friend of mine suggested ambition as the key point which drives a person to be successful.

Does anyone have pre cognitive dreams? I used to have them very occasionally but they are getting more frequent and more detailed. I'm getting scared now and wonder if there is something wrong with me.

This man spent my life emotionally, psychologically and verbally abusing me and expects me to spend my time seeking for his approval. Instead, I grew emotionally, broke away from him and he's still emotionally bandrupt from the same type of abuse from his old man and has the nerve to expect me to give him self-worth. For a year, he's been asking me if I love him and I ignore him. I don't love the croward because he eroded it. In my book, love is something earned. Once you erode mine, it's never retrieve. If it meant something to you, why would you do the best to obliiterate my self-esteem?
Last week, he gets upset when I dono't respond and tells me to shut, then takes one of my shrimps. Well, as long as he continues the behavior, he's got low Emotional Intellegence.

An experiment was done where a (Franciscan)nun and a monk prayed and meditated respectively. They had brain activity measured during the experiment, can't remember exactly how. At the hight of their prayer and meditation respectively there was an area in their brains that had reduced input of data as it were. It was the area that defines physical reality as it were. It sort of implied that there is a 'god' link/gate in our brain. Something that enables humans to experience the world beyond reality as we know it (without the use of drugs)
I heard this on Sunday morning radio some time ago. Been trying to find something through search engines but no luck. At the best i've ended up in neurotheology.
Anyone for pointers ...?

I know how violence in videogames can cause violence in real life, but why am I, or most other people my age, not seemingly affected by them?

There's this gay teacher in my school, no lie. I'm not against or with gays, but my friends made a small joke about him and I was like "How gay IS Mr. -----?" and then when I turned around, he was standing right next to me, wide-eyed and sad looking. I've really always just wanted to get along with him and let him know I had nothing against him since everybody makes fun of him everyday. I don't know if he really heard me or not, but I want to let him know without straightforward telling him that I have nothing against him and I'm sorry that I discriminate sometimes.

I once rushed into a fire to save an old lady trapped in her apartment.
I crossed over from the neighbors deck, three stories high.

I just walked in openend her door, dragged her into the hall and then disappeared like batman.

What did you do for someone else, without being asked?

I’m a guy, in my early 20’s, and I used to hate being around people, so much that I suffered from, depression. The thing is, after getting help from the doctors, I still hate being around people, maybe not as much as I used to, but the feeling is still there. Has anyone suffered from these kind of problems, and how long did it take you to not hate being around people anymore? In case you are wondering why I hated being around people in the first place, it’s because I was bullied most my life, up till now that is. It is also the reason why I don’t have much of a social life, or any friends at the moment, because I still have major trust issues. Will that always be a problem for me? Will I ever learn to trust again?

I'm a positive person who likes to be nice with the rest of the people. I don't like to raise my voice in an argument and don't like to swear. Don't get me wrong, I have a strong character and don't hesitate to set the record straight when needed, but anyway my ex considered "being nice" as a weakness and would often tell me "I could walk all over you if I wanted to". He was from Scotland, I'm from Sout America... could you please help me understand his reasoning? Is there any cultural thing behind his need to be tough or was he just a bully?
