I once rushed into a fire to save an old lady trapped in her apartment.
I crossed over from the neighbors deck, three stories high.

I just walked in openend her door, dragged her into the hall and then disappeared like batman.

What did you do for someone else, without being asked?

Maybe more than I could ever comprehend. You never know how much of an effect you have on someone else, not only in the present but also in the future. Being a rolemodel may very well save very many lives.

Good work.
I don't feel like I did but several people have told me so. I was traveling through Europe with some friends for a few months and at one point we split up. One of my friends that was with us has bipolar disorder and started to have a manic episode about a week after we split off. I was down in Spain and he was up in the Netherlands, or so I thought, because thats where he had last contacted anyone from before sending this really uninteligible email out to everyone he knew, saying he was the story teller king and had to go meet his knights of the round table. So I went looking for him. It took me a week, but I found him finally in a youth hostel in Switzerland. He had thrown away his passport and ID, had no money, had been arrested for indecent exposure, was really ill from having eaten garbage, and wearing stolen clothes. Through a lot of cajoling, he's about 6'4'' and 250 lbs, I managed to get him to the embassy a few days later and get him another passport and then to the airport. After a few hours of trying to get a medical escort on his flight with him I lost him again. He had gone into a restaurant while I was talking to the people at the British Airways desk and gotten arrested for trying to dine and dash. Like I said, I don't consider myself to have saved his life, maybe a little bit of misery, but his family and our friends say so. Its what friends do.

I am told I have... it is impossible to go back and see if I hadn't done what I did, if they would still be alive?

I simply feel I helped in a time of crisis.

I have instructed them to see a doctor when they were refusing and prayed for them. This happen in scenes whereas they were losing their lives.
