I have plans this friday, sat, and sun. My mother in law's aunt died, and I am going to the wake friday night and the funeral saturday morning. Has anybody ever had to alter previous plans at the last minute for this type of thing? How did you feel about it, and how did your plans turn out? And looking back, are you glad you did the right thing and went to the wake/funeral?

Could it be that we just don't know ourselves all that well? Or is it a form of living in denial?

Im just curious to see if anyone can figure out why I had this dream.

There was three of us in a warehouse building walking along a catwalk real high up, all of a sudden both sides of the railing gave out and the steel floor began to drop, I grabbed onto a pillar that happend to be close by, but had one person hold on to me, and the other person hold onto the person holding onto me. At this point Im holding on to dear life with 2 people dangling from me. All I know is that I would not let go of the pillar, and kept screaming for help and no one heard us. I still wouldn't let go no matter how much the weight was pulling me. Finally someone saw us and called the Fire Department. The fireman grabbed one of us at a time. Then there was a news team outside recording us walking down a ladder.

Can anyone tell me if this dream had any meaning. It felt so real when I was holding on to dear life! Im open to any ideas, thanks!

I have a personal issue that has plagued me in all my relationships in the past. I have been married for almost 4 years now. I love my husband to no end. He is now away form job training for 10 months, and he will be home on the weekends. I was raised in a home with a somewhat unfaithful father. Every time we would go out of town, my dad, who was with us, would head out to the strip club when we went to bed. Now, if my dad ever goes out of town without my mom, he is basically, from what I hear from people who have gone with him, the ringleader in their strip club excursions. My mom once caught my dad with his hands on his secretaries rear, and when I was in high school, there were always rumors about my dad's infidelity. I even heard my dad proposition one of my mom's friends. I do not trust men whatsoever. I don't think my husband has ever cheated, but there was a girl who I know gave him a gift (I found it) when we were having problems. What can I do to get over this?

I have been living with a wonderful man for 8 months and every day I love him more. He is still the same loving and compassionate, sexy, romantic, intelligent, responsible man that I fell in love with - no negative surprises.

Do you have that same kind of feeling for your mate?

All these doubts, uncertainties about life, what to do in the future in matter of career, will we find someone who loves and understand us, what's the meaning of life, and all those individual questions about life and the world that people say is normal in your early twenties... - Does it gets better as you get more mature, do you became more at peace with your life and with yourself and the surrounding world and find happiness
or it's more or less the same feelings all along your path in life but as the years pass you learn to deal more effectively with them, and learn to look more calmly to doubts and all the uncertainty about life?

I have an acquaintance who is extremely materialistic and likes imposing her opinions and her way of living on me. Talking to her is just simply boring to me because there’s usually one main subject: money. I do not envy this person AT ALL and I am not interested in how her business is doing, how big her house is, etc. If that’s the way she likes to live that’s fine, but I don’t like to be told that I should be this way too. I don’t think she’s happy in her life and she just seems very insecure in general.

I am starting my own business and what I do is very artistic and creative. I consider myself very lucky because my job is my real passion and joy. My job requires constant learning and developing the skills which I love as well. It does take time to start making good money in what I do. I had a few clients already and right now I am working on my business advertising. I believe that everything in life should be in balance and I try to live like that. Making money and having a business is only one part of my life but it is not my reason to live or my main goal in life.

Now, I don’t know if I am oversensitive or wrong about it, but it really makes my angry when my acquaintance asks me “Do you have any clients?” EVERY time she talks to me. Isn’t a little bit like asking somebody if and/or how much money they’re making? Isn’t that pretty impolite? This person does not have very good manners in general anyway, but that’s a different story…

Another thing is that this person likes giving advice even though I never asked her for any advice. She tells me what meetings I should go to, what are the best advertising strategies and what the best things for my business are. She’s not telling me all of this because she sincerely cares about me. It’s more like trying to intimidate or control me…

I realize that I cannot avoid dealing with people like her in my life and I would like to ask what are the best ways/strategies to respond to people asking you questions like that? What do you say to people like that?
