My friend was in my apartment by herself, I was in another friend's apartment. The fire alarm in the building went off(not the detectors in individual apartments). Protocol states that if the fire isn't in our apartment; we should remain calm until the fire ceases and the alarm stops(the doors are flame resistant). But if the fire IS in UR apartment, GET OUT, close the door behind u, and go to the landing(a spot on every floor like a hallway), and wait to be rescued by firefighters. MY friend, was in my apartment in the middle of a long soothing shower at this point. The fire alarm was deafening; she was scared, so she did the only thing that came to mind(her mind). She knew the fire WASN'T in MY apartment, but someone's; or it could be false. But she wasn't taking any chances, so, she had a full body length beach towel, which she wrapped and secured around her body. Then she ran out of my apartment all the way down the stairs(I live on the third floor), and out the double doors.

I am claustrophobic, and on looooooong drives (like up to Michigan and back) I get very moody and sick. At one point I felt suicidal.

I dreamt I was staying at my guy friend's house but he was'nt there.

The house was really old and crappy but kept very very tidy it had a woodfire oven??

I messed up the house a bit and drew or left massive marks on the walls, then my childhood friend came over and stayed with me.

My guy friend came home early and found us in bed??my guy friend kept turning into my ex boyfriend.

Any metaphors here?

I am at my wit's end! My husband and I have been married for over three years now and together for four. Recently there was an argument between myself and two of my in-laws. We have had disagreements in the past, but have always worked things out. Well, now they are completely ignoring me! My husband is in the military and is gone right now. I am really feeling terrible and angry right now. I just do not think we will ever be close. I know my husband loves him family, and he has always been wonderful about stepping in when neccesary to help resolve the normal conflicts that happen. Things seem great as long as I do not express my opinions or disagree with certain family members. I have always had a pretty good relationship with my mother in law, but the last time I spoke to her on the phone, she was acting differently towards me. I have to wonder if her daughter's are trying to influence her because they are upset with me. The argument was over such petty nonsense!

I think I may be depressed.
here are the symptoms:
I'm having difficulty sleeping.
I'm not enjoying things I used to.
I'm not eating as much as I used to.
I feel isolated from my friends.
I am left in a bad mood even after doing something that I used to think was fun.

does anyone know if this means I'm depressed?

Well, this shouldn't be classified as a question, its more of a situation/discussion, if you're not well educated and ignorant, i suggest you don't even state your imput. I think sex is stupid, i don't see why people do it. I am attracted to anyone who is hot, male or female. But that is about it. So do i say i am bi? not sure? or straight? obviously i am sure cause i think sex is stupid. so i'm not unsure of my sexual orientation. I consider myself bi because i am not gay not straight...if i see a hot male, i'll think he is hot, or a hot female think she is hot, but as i stated earlier, don't mean i want to be with any of them. So is this a common teenage stage? or do i just hate the world so much, i refuse to take part in what they consider "normal" living. I really prefer to go against something that someone says, than do what they say. so maybe i just want to be different so bad, i can make myself take on the identity of whats considered "different"?

I'm in eigth grade, and whenever i'm at school, i'm this really bright, really cheerful, hyper, social (if i can say so myself) person. i have lots of friends, i laugh a lot, i talk a lot, i move around a lot... you get my point.
but at home, i'm this really really quiet, shy, person, doing homework quietly, lazy.... all that.

i don't know which me is the real me, because i feel comfortable doing both these things. I know for certain that i'm not faking my personality (i'd never be able to do that), but why is it that my personality changes so drastically from school to my house?

it might have to do with the fact that i'm half-american, half-japanese, and at school i speak english (which im more comfortable with) but at home i speak english (because my mom doesnt really speak english....), but im not sure.

help?

Hello, I'm, 17 years old and I'm wondering why this happens. This usually occurs when I'm asleep , just about to go to sleep, sometimes daydreaming (hardly). It comes out of no where for ex: a finger moves/jerks (usually up) when I had no intention of moving it. No thought at all. Does anyone know why this happens. It's not just finger it could be arm/shoulder, leg. etc

im just wondering. because telling your children that people in general suck is considered emotional abuse, right? so shouldn't teaching them certain groups of people do be considered abuse also?

She is 25 years of age and she is not the smartest person. She has a problem with reading comprehension and she sometimes has difficulty with comprehending verbal directions given to her by someone. Her self-esteem is extremely low because of this. People constantly put her down and tell her that she is slow and mentally challenged. Family members also tell her this also. As a result, this has killed her self-esteem. Right now she is taking classes to work on her comprehension skills, but she is still having difficulty with the classes. She has dreams of becaming a computer technician, but is not confident that she will be able to succeed in this field it because of her low comprehsion level.
