Oh to be young again! If you can still function on little sleep and feel good, don't worry about it. If it is interfering with your work and life, try a tylenol P.M. on the nights you feel wound. Nite-Nite and sweet dreams...

I'm turning 24 month after next and I've always enjoyed not sleeping until I was tired 2 or 3 A.M is my norm, but like in the last three months I've been throughgh the same thing? My wisdom teeth are also breaking throu and have been for the last year I decided not to pull them because It just didn't seem right to do so. I wondered if there could be any connection?? Who knows? I watch my neighborhood when can't sleep at night and try and try to use my energy in thought to transmit dreams on all of them! Or try Guitar, Drawing, make a hemp necklace, It doesn't matter what I do only Marijuana makes me smile and sleep! Although If I'm getting high to sleep I never dream? So now I just crank up the head phones on the dish channel 6050 and the darkness melts me away with the tones. See I like some of the songs on this mix but there's a lot of soft **** and that's what does it for me I nod off to the tunes of the songs I dislike!! Try it music can cure anything I promise

Problems sleeping ….I could write for hours (into the night) about this.
I used to work ‘nights’ for years ~ loved it, and had few if any problems sleeping - I seemed to find a way of life that fitted my Circadian Rhythm beautifully.
As I’ve got older, my long standing health problems have as it were, caught up with me and created their own problems, one being to do with sleeping. But this ONLY becomes an issue when I try (having) to fit within the 9 - 5 routine that society sets for us. When ‘marching to the beat of my own drum,’ then these problems cease to be ‘problems.’
One of the problems is both ‘the dream life I have when asleep’ and the ‘night sweats’ that often accompany them.
There are many factors that make the ‘sleep period’ problematic to understand ~ and having attended a sleep study Lab at a Hospital, I estimate it as one of thee most ’uncomfortable ’ experiences in my life. And from my perspective, has done little towards my understanding on my sleep experience and of having a better one.
…But then! Without it, it is possible that my experience could be even worse!
Unless your sleeping problem is ‘a problem’ for you, don’t fight it. You can perhaps think of it as a bonus which gives you extra time you can use for something productive towards your personal betterment. If, on the other hand, it becomes ‘A Problem,‘ then look for help.
Years ago there was a really interesting piece on Circadian Rhythms I think on Channel 4 (UK) TV, where volunteers were placed underground and were separated from any natural time related sources.
Their personal ‘natural’ sleeping, waking, eating and work rhythm were very quickly established and which apparently had ‘very little to no correlation’ to the 9-5 life of the world outside.
One night over a cup of coffee, I was chatting with a Doctor who asked me about ‘my experience of working nights,’ and I regaled him with this tale and how I experienced my life ….and at the end of which, he told me that he’d worked on that sleep research program I’d been telling him about.
The bottom line of this all is, ‘If it is not a problem, then don’t sweat or fret about it.’
Sash.

I used to be a complete insomniac, it wasn't unusual to stay up for 3 or 4 days, take a couple hour nap, and start over. Now I'm on a doctor prescribed "soup", 400mg of trazadone, 12.5 mgs Ambien CR, 3mg of lunesta, 3 Benadryl, and 3mgs of klonopin, it keeps me asleep for a couple hours, then I HAVE to get up, but it is easier to fall back asleep

First rule out physical and chemical causes (according to the DSM-IV-TR manual). Have your doctor give you a physical to check for things like overactive thyroid. Also, try a few days without caffeine or MSG. Both chemicals are in most foods, and some people have less tolerance than other people, especially as they age. Especially avoid sodas, coffee, caffeinated teas, cookies, most cold cuts, and other forms of junk food and fast food as they tend to have the highest amounts of caffeine and MSG. Try eating healthy of a couple of days and drinking water... it couldn't hurt and costs you little or nothing to try it.

This is common to folk who 'burn the midnight oil' , I was a big band drummer and played late most nights ( 2 - 3 ) in the morning. Your time clock eventually adjusts and you get used to it. Just make sure you eat well and don't drink too much alcohol.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/xJqIH
Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.
Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.
Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.
