im just wondering. because telling your children that people in general suck is considered emotional abuse, right? so shouldn't teaching them certain groups of people do be considered abuse also?

no i actually meant more severelly, like this family i read about that rolls up their car windows when they see people of another race on the street, and say these people r dangerous? because this could lead them to believe it is okay to commit crimes against them, and they could get in prison or soemthing.

Of course I would say it is abuse. I believe that most people would say it is a form of abuse. Its abuse to a child because they're mind is being developed and poisioned. When you understand that God is love you start to see why we were created. We were created to love one another, helping each other. Really, who does teaching racial hatred, putting people down for any reason helps? No one, it only hurts. It hurts everyone (The world, all mankind), especially the one who practice it. And guess what hatress lives on and the only way to stop it is to Love. We can't change anyone but we can influence them..

It could be considered abuse if you convinced them to harm other people based on race. I could see the prosecutor stretching the law to include that.

To teach hate of any kind is to severely damage a child and set them up for future failures. The ability to get along with others, no matter their race, religion, social status, gender or sexuality, is definitely essential in the modern business world.

The inability to exhibit tolerance of others would limit a childs future opportunities. Tolerance = happiness.

I am happy to say, that allow my son was initially raised in the white bread bible belt, he acclimated to the big city and making friends of all types quickly.

"Telling your children people suck" is not abusive. Teaching people do discount other cultures and values is not abuse. However, if you have them stand naked in the snow while doing so, you might be pushing the line. Just because a person is not in the maistream of social values does not mean any person or branch of the government has an obligation to undermine that teaching.

Great question.
If you think about it is...
You are raising your child to the point that when he/she gets out in the world, he/she will be deprived of meeting more wonderful people than he/she would know if the child wasn't raised with racial prejudices. Because there are beautiful people in every race that you can learn from.

BUT, I do think we all naturally have a little prejudice in us. At least one percent. I think the little bit we all have prepares us for the worse out of people. But that's not the type of prejudice you're talking about, I just like to talk sometimes lol.

I agree that is abuse. It is not right to teach children to hate. People need to teach their kids patience and tolerance and understanding. I don't know if you report a parent who teaches their child to be racist if anything can be done such as removing the child from that home but I consider it abuse.
