is it just easier to say we feel red-hot or yellow-bellied than to describe our thoughts and feelings? how did we come to associate colors with feelings? why?

extra credit: what would 'purple' feel like?

i think its because we have been programmed by societal associations. example, when things are SUPPOSED to show anger, they have always been shown as red. sad or cold is blue, etc. and because its what we are always shown, we incorporate that into new scenarios.

p.s. i would think that purple feels mystical or creative.

Color adds detail to how we feel. It also shows how much or intense a feeling may be. Red also can be for passion if someone is in the romantic mood they feel more sexy wearing red or even seeing it.

I think purple would be soft like Velvet.

some colorations represent all categories of emotions, possibly based on the colour. i think blind human beings go at the same time with colour for the duration of the descriptions of others or from adventure purely before dropping their sight, in the event that they have been waiting to verify in some unspecified time interior the destiny of their lives.
