You always hear people saying the opposite, but is it ever good? If any people with a background in Psych. could answer that would be splendid. Thanks!

She always compares herself to me and shows off her superior "knowledge," which usually I knew she made things up. She would go on and comment about my house , my child, my mothering skills, my cooking skills, my inability in doing a, b, c, d, ... Then she would talk positively (false) about herself. I regret sharing some of my intimate thoughts with her which she now uses them to bite me. When our husbands are not around, she would say something to intentionally hurt me over and over.

Her behavior makes me look at her more closely and realize she doesn't own a house and her apartment is very dirty. Her son is always sick and he is very small for his age. He doesn't like the food she cooks. She has cancer and doctor doesn't think she will live long.

I feel pity on her but I am so annoyed. Is she insecure? What shall I do?

When I was in school I attended a tech program during the latter part of the day.
I stopped talking to people in the regular school.
After I graduated, people thought that I did not talk to anyone and I became labeled as a loner. I felt very confused about my identity.
Do you think that this was a double life.
Even years later I couldnt believe that I did not talk to anyone in the school. I had totally shut everyone out.
I was afraid to go anywhere where I would see anyone from the school and became very embarrased about what I did.

People seem really indifferent to me. I know they don't hate me because I'm really nice to everybody but I'm also very quiet and shy and can't talk to people much, I think I have that social anxiety disorder. Like I always seem like I'm the last one they pick to talk to, and it's not like they don't like talking to me they respect me it's just they seem really indiffernet. I have an easier time talking to people and they sometimes seem to like talking to me when its just me and another person in a room.

Would you rather be rich and smart but you have no one to enjoy it with and you are completely alone.

Or would you rather be foolish and lower middle class but you have many people to enjoy it with.

Think about this, both life styles have something great to offer, it's alot harder than it looks.

She's never tried it, and she'll only eat things that are cooked. I don't want to force her, but I'm attempting to get her to "broaden her culinary horizons", as it were. If she never tries it in her life, then that's her own choice, but she very well might like it!

something is pulling me off the bed, pushing me upward or into the wall. Everything is as it should be. i tell myself it is a dream, but all my mechanisms for waking no longer work. now when i think i have managed to wake up, i find the 'force is at work again' pulling me off the bed. so i no longer know what is real, andthe fear is increased. i hear sounds and feel, how do i deal with it and why is it happening? any suggestions please.

Don't give me that, "I am happy where I am and won't change it".

Just think you are an witness to the worst crime committed and you were placed in a witness protection program... you can make up a life (your job, your mate, where you live, etc..) and afterward you get to keep it - not just pretend or fantasy...you created your new life.

What would you change and what would you do?

i have a shower with my ex, his brother and an old friend from highschool. nothing is going on.... just very casually walking in and out and saying hello, like we would have if we saw eachother on the street. my ex and his brother have no relation to and dont know the other person from high school. what does this mean?

I do not have great work experience or anything on a resume that would stand out and I feel like I need to achieve that. Do you think my best bet is to get an internship so i can get some experience? I have a big problem on my speech. I sounds like a mental disable person(or a word that they use, retard)(just trying to be nice and not to insult people with that name sorry)

I have a problem with motivation. I have a decent job, but I am an underachiever. I try to work, but I can't. I know that it sounds stupid, but I just can't get motivated. Yes, I can be considered lazy, but the fact of the matter is that I try and lose focus. I have an IQ of 130, and I always get great reviews at work, but I don't understand how I do it. I wait until the last minute, but still manage to get things done. In reality, I do about 8 hours of work in a 40 hour work week, and if my boss knew what I was doing, I would be fired in a heartbeat. I feel guilty because I know I can do so much better. Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can get motivated and get my work done. Does anyone else have a problem with motivation?

It looks like woman are liars to me. Why is it so? Well it needs a bit of explanation. Guys open your eyes. It takes some wisdom to absorb this reality. Well I am taking about both physical and mental attitude which grows out of it. Women in general are not attractive. It is our passion which makes them look attractive. If you discard that passion totally from your mind and see a woman naked it would be very clear. You wouild very soon you definitely don't want to look like that. They know that very well. But they cover it up. They don't like to reveal themselves because they know it is not good to them. They try to hide until man makes all commitments. When she is assured then she will reveal. Inspite of this movies and tv shows show woman in such a way that woman seem attractive. Men are really stupids. They fall prey to all this. And they are nowadays even accepting that woman are more good looking than men. If every man works hard he is really bull and woman a cow. Think over this.
