something is pulling me off the bed, pushing me upward or into the wall. Everything is as it should be. i tell myself it is a dream, but all my mechanisms for waking no longer work. now when i think i have managed to wake up, i find the 'force is at work again' pulling me off the bed. so i no longer know what is real, andthe fear is increased. i hear sounds and feel, how do i deal with it and why is it happening? any suggestions please.

In common current usage, the term nightmare refers to dreams of particular intensity, with content that the sleeper finds disturbing, related either to physiological causes, such as a high fever, or to psychological ones, such as unusual trauma or stress in the sleeper's life. The occasional body movements seen in nightmares may have a use in awakening the sleeper, thus helping to avoid the frightening dream-situation.

Occasional nightmares are commonplace, but recurrent nightmares can interfere with sleep and may cause people to seek medical help. A recently proposed treatment consists of imagery rehearsal This approach appears to reduce the effects of nightmares and other symptoms in acute stress disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Lucid dreaming practitioners claim that it can help conquer nightmares of this type,[2] rather than of the traditional type (see below).

first relax...ITS NOT REAL... u have no bruises or signs of "force".. do u? for up to 15 minutes after u wake, u still have not woken up properly... ur brain is still sleepy.

its a common dream... the pull or "force", as u call it could be anything.. some thing u forgot... or maybe something u think u should do...?

career or personal changes may be closer to the "force" as a means of finding what ur dream means..

ur on-line, so look at the past history of ur home in ur local records or newspaper archives... if only to reassure urself..

if you try sleeping in a differint place that might work it may bee something about your bed, the is always a good place to start, keep moving around where you sleep at night, that might help, also if large has efected your life that might bee it too, last night i kept on half waking up and hitting my head on the wall, i had no clue what was going on, but it hink it was my brain telling me to clean my room *_* hope it helps.

you can keep a sleep diary or if you have the equipment set up a video recorder to monitor your sleep/waking behaviour. There is a sleep clinic in Loughborough, England who research this way. You might want to ask your doctor to refer you to clinical psychologist if it is getting you down.

i just took a test on something like this. nightmares (actually, night terrors, i'd guess is your case) that occur with frequency like that should be tended to quickly by a psychologist. (and if that doesn't work, maybe you should try looking up local ghost hunters. [not kidding! i think anything's possible until proven false])

Your idea is sweet, yet for all Freddy followers the purely right element contained in the wold will be if Michael Bay would positioned a dynamite in his *** and blow up, I recommend when you consider that he likes to positioned explosions in all his video clips. which may be the in problem-free words way he would end ruining a horror icon like Freddy tuning him into Terminator like he did in his ridiculous remake of a nightmare on elm highway.

your body is waking up before your brain does. sometimes, i halluciante as i'm waking from a dream. it's very scary, but unfortunately there's not a whole you can do to control it.

simply try praying before you go to sleep... ask GOD to protect you, and ask him to cover you with the blood of JESUS. when you ask GOD to help you he will not only help you but also protect you... out of all the advice someone can give you or try to explain to you what u feel... prayer is the key, GOD HEARS!! take care
