When I was younger, I used to talk in my sleep. I talked to a man named Conrad. Nobody I knew then or have ever met is named Conrad. It was like an imaginary friend, only I only talked to him in my sleep and I didn't remember it when I woke up. I don't know if I still do it or not. Has this ever happened to anybody else?

Serious answers only, please.

completely ignore them or is it better to confront them about their lies and deception? This person "pretended" to be my best friend then abandoned (not literally, but mentally/emotionally etc) me when I needed her most. I want to "stick it" to her.

Okay, don't lecture me for this but im not proud to say, this is how the story went:

After 5th period was over, me and my friend Paige went downstairs to go use the bathroom, since the one closest to us was locked. We heard the bell ring to go in our class rooms, and we knew we were already late. Our Teacher, Ms. Sams, is soooo mean, she would start yelling even if we were 4 seconds late. We were so scared, that we just stayed down there, hiding in fear. School ends at 2:20, and that's how long we stayed down there. When the end of school bell rang, we back up to our lockers to go get our stuff, people from my 6th period class started saying stuff like, "You are SO in trouble!" or, "Ms. Sams wrote a 'Cut Slip' on ya'll!" or, "I had to tell, everybody told on you and Paige!". I was so scared, it made me not want to eat for 2 days. I'm just so scared to go to scool tommorrow.

So what am I supposed to do to overcome the fear of her yelling at me?

I'e been feeling really self destructive recently and I have a perpetual 'can be bothered' feeling. I used to be a really motivated individual who did well in school. I've been offered an interview to study veterinary science and it's what I've always wanted.

But just recently I've been, well I guess the work is depressed. I don't know if it's due to pressure or the fact that I have an unresolved relationship or than family life isn't exactly great but something is wrong.
Has anyone else had a similar experinec and how can I get out of the dumps and back to normal again?
Thanx, a rather sad girl

How are you linked with the daily cycles of night and day?

Besides sleeping, how do these light and dark cycles affect your moods? Your creativity? Your mind?

Thanks:))

I think all of the "you can do anything you set your mind to" comments of my child hood that were supposed to help me keep my head up are actualy making me miserable. Basically i feel like a complete failure because i am not a rock star, model, millionaire, and have not accomplished anything great. I think i need a little less drive to succeed and a little more self acceptance maybe? I find myself trying to write music enstead of doing my homework (college). etc.. does anyone else feel this way? like maybe they just need to be ok with being average? And the example to my kids that i just don't approve of what i have become isnt good either.
Any feedback?

For those who believe in reincarnation, do you think it is possible to have a phobia for something that happened in a previous life? I do believe it is. What about you?

Mine have to do with knives and snakes! What about yours?

I work in group homes with many types of clients - those who have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Autism, the developmentally disabled, disabilities due to head trauma, etc. We also have clients placed in our homes because they have been convicted of sexual crimes. One of my clients that is a sex offender is moderately mentally challenged (and it is somewhat visable), and the other was in an accident where he received severe head trauma (Was charged with sexual abuse years AFTER the accident occured.) but seems to be 'normal' to the naked eye and has been in jail before on a few occasions. How do the courts decide that these sexual abusers can live in this group home environment vs. being locked up in prison? What key things do they look for when making this decision? What kinds of information do psychiatrists/doctors have to provide to prove that a group home would be a more suitable living environment vs. their getting time in prison?
