completely ignore them or is it better to confront them about their lies and deception? This person "pretended" to be my best friend then abandoned (not literally, but mentally/emotionally etc) me when I needed her most. I want to "stick it" to her.

Why revenge?

Honestly, ignore someone that brings you down, and get new friends. Putting negative energy out with just bring more negative energy in. Trust me, it's not your place to punish her.

Honestly. I hate it when people insult others by saying they have a mental disorder. Has your "friend" been diagnosed with NPD, or do you just like to say that she's got it? I know it's tempting to say that there is something fundamentally, mentally wrong with the people who hurt us, but it's usually not that simple, is it?

If she really is so awful, why don't you tell her why you don't want to be her friend anymore, and then steer clear of her? You'll feel good for speaking your mind, and you'll be rid of the person who hurt your feelings. Also, maybe she'll learn that mistreating others leads to abandonment.

If it were me, I just honestly tell her that I totally see thru her and what she has done to me, stating a few instances, very calmly and correctly (in person) and that you chose not to have a
relationship with a person like her.

I would do this for ME not really her.

the end.
