I'm a 25 year old (male) virgin myself, and I was wondering what percentage of the U.S. population, above 25, had never had sex or ever had a girlfriend/boyfriend. There's obviously no way to objectively tally this, but I do want to hear your speculations.

I think about 10% of guys above 25 never had sex or dated.

I think about 12% of girls above 25 never had sex or dated.


What do you speculate the figures are? This is for a psychology class.

I am taking a class called Theory of Motivation and am particularly interested in the nature/nurture concept. Nature/nurture itself is far too broad. I need something within that that I can write 8 pgs on. Please not too biology oriented. Thanks.

I sorta have a speech problem. I have always talked fast, I can't seem to help it, and as a result I stumble over words sometimes. I also stutter with some sounds and some words I can't even say because it's so hard to. I work in retail and when I say the total, there are some number combonations that are hard to say, like 2.66. The 2 part is fine but getting the 66 part out is hard. When I get nervous it's really bad because I talk even faster and get my words mixed up. I'm going to be getting a new job soon and I really need to have good communication skills. When I was younger I went to a speech therapist and they told me that I did have a speech problem after we went though different sounds. For some reason I never went back and I can't afford something like that now. I was just wondering if there was a website or book that had similar therapies and exercises that they use when treating speech problems.

I just got out of college a few years ago... when I compare my career experience to that of others in my field (paralegal) who do the same tasks it seems like I'm not making nearly what I'm worth, and that I am MUCH more active throughout the workday.... furthermore, I've gotten into a problem where basically I've been competing with my boss for work (so then my boss claims that my performance is sub-par to the big boss to muscle me out). This has evolved into a deep personal problem --- I feel lousy and incompetent - even though nobody's complained about my work who's truely on the "recieving" end of it, now I'm getting told I'm doing a bad job, and every day is just terrible.

Any professional counselors that can help ppl develop some human capital or just give good advice for situations like this... I I hate knowing when you look at the avg or the norm I'm way off the curve as far as $$$/productivity goes and furthermore the office politics are getting just plain hateful.

Can you remain friends with someone who is not exactly 'smart'. Even though you know their actions thoughts are not intentional, do you not get mad frequently when they behave irrationally or say/do illogical things?

Just hoping someone can help me, everytime I have a problem I feel like I have to tell everyone my problem, I guess in some way of figuring out the answer perhaps..but I dont know why arent I just happy enough to tell one person, or to figure out the answer my self why do I have to get everyone else involved ?

I have a masturbation/porn addiction and have been trying desperately to be free from it. I have tried filters, therapy and recently installed Internet accountability program to be accountable of my web activity.
Before I had mb/porn addiction, I was suffering from severe depression. Being naive about depression, I thought I was supposed to overcome it with pure willpower. It only made things worse.
I desperately needed to find an escape route from enormous pains caused by severe depression. I didn't want to turn to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex cuz I knew they were wrong and destroy people's lives. I tried sports, activities, reading, riding bicycle but those only made me feel better temporarily and didn't fix my severe depression.
Then I found Internet porn which I thought of as nothing more than a guy thing. Since then, I have been self-medicating with porn whenever I am stressed/depressed. In another words, I became addicted.
Can anyone familiar with my problem offer me advice?

We past by a dead guys house where they were searching through his stuff. He had a collapsable boat and such. We asked for some nails or something, and a man with a mustache said something about stepping on a nickle. He handed us a power bait jar and to my surprise it had a small snake in it that was the cause of the mans death. The power bait jar had a hole in it, and the snake would stick it’s head through the hole. It was so small that it looked more like a worm than a snake. It was supposedly called a nail head, and it was dead. The man whom it bit, had grabbed it and stuffed it into the jar seconds before his death. The man died long ago, and the snake had killed itself by biting itself on the tail (which was scored) to end it’s imprisonment. It had killed itself, but somehow it came back to life. Then my friend and I were running behind my sister who was on a dirt bike. I mentioned something about wishing we were skiing . In that part of the dream there was no snow........
