You become the person you pretend to be. If you act in a giving and selfless way you eventually will become that person. Don't depend on feelings to guide you, depend on your will. Choose to be good, act in a good way, and you will be a good person.

It's a matter of empathy. Put yourself in another person's shoes and feel what he feels. Look into people's eyes when you talk to them, and listen to what they say.
