On a personal level, like an abusive spouse or abusive parent, people seem to agree that the abuser projects the responsibility for the violence on the victim. Can anyone see a correlation between that and what is happening today in Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Iraq? Calling Arab/Muslims terrorists takes the onus of responsibility off the US and Israel?

This seems to be true of personal abuse and on an international scale. When a wife-beater pummels his wife, he blames her for making him violent. When an abusive mother beats her kids, it's because her kids are uncontrollable. When the US and Israel kill thousands of Arabs it is because they are terrorists. What is this pychological phenomenon and why is it so pervasive on the planet?

In December of 2005, and after 28 years, I found my high school sweetheart. We have been talking and e-mailing for the past 7 months and I finally got to meet her yesterday. I knew she was married with 3 children, but she made it clear from the start that she did not love this man~ (her husband). At the moment we met, the sparks started to fly! Our reunion was a very passionate extreamly and emotional event. The reunion was also secret, due to her current marriage. The time finally had to come in which we had to part ways once again. I informed her that due to the children, it seemed OK, that she continue to love me, but remain faithful to her husband. We will continue to talk and e-mail, but I know it will be some time before I see her again. When the time came to say goodbye, I felt an overwhelming sense of greif and sadness and don't know if I will be OK? I really want to be with her and God's law says I cannot! What would you suggest?

Can a person find happiness within himself...... n doesnt need anybody around!!!! neither a person to make him smile nor any person for whom can he be a reason of smile??????? Its not about the smiles and fancies of life but also for the times, one sits down with slung shoulders........n a day to day necessity to be with people.

I am having this strange problem. I was watching tv the other day when I heard someone speak the phrase "I chickened out." Now I have this strange thing in my mind that before hearing it, the phrase was lying at the back of my head, but now its "alive" in my mind and am concsious of the phrase. So now I keep hearing the phrase in my mind a lot. My mind tells me I am going to "chicken out" on a lot of things. So now whenever I dont do something, my mind tells me "See you chickened out." How can I unlearn or erase the phrase from my mind? I want to be back to who I was and not hear the phrase repeatedly in my mind. Please help with any tips or insights. Thanks.

So I had this dream about 4 weeks ago. It consisted of my self walking outside a chappel holding hands with a light skinned African American female. We were standing outside of what seemed to be a wedding for a while . She was very beautiful and had very dark brown hair and beautiful lips. I'm from SoCal and i think everywoman is beautiful but just happen to find blonde girls very attarctive. I'm a SoCal stereotype i surf,skate, party and have bonfires all the time i'm a freaking beach bum and Mexican. but that's what i have always dated, Blonde girls...... so my question is " why am I still thinking about this female" She's not even real i dont think, and I don't mean to sound Vane or arrogant but i don't have trouble with women at all. So any dream specialist out there, can you please help. I really want to know if there's a deep meaning to this.....yeah she was beautiful!!!! and cant stop thinking about her...................................... Although i wish she was real..

i know i will get better if i do every little thing well.but i have no patience and hope to achive what i want at once.If my wish doesn't come true,i become bad-tempered and it has hurt my close friends and i feel guity for it.Do i have a psychlogical problem?How i can get a more balanced and cheerful character?I used to be but after graduation and after several frustration,i become unrealistic. It seems that it's so hard for me to overcome.
