Yes.
Your subconscious is working while you sleep, and it is possible for you to solve problems even when asleep.
So, while you will experience many strange dreams, there will be some that you should take note of, and use, where and when appropriate.
Having said that, every dream is a product of your mind, so in a sense you are talking to yourself. Hence, you should listen and try to interpret all of them

I think so, although I do tend to pick and choose. I believe that many of my vivid and epic dreams are just my subconscious getting rid of all the information and thoughts that clutter my mind. On the other hand I have had concepts and ideas presented to me in dreams that I have not thought of in waking life. Also the solutions to pressing problems have often come to me in dreams or in that dreamy reality as you are just waking up and not fully conscious. I work as a chef and have made many dishes that I have literally dreamed up and they are the always the best ones!

Listened to and used for inspiration but I think I would use my cognitive thinking and logic for guidance

Usually dreams are just random electrical impulses that your brain tries to make sense of in some logical context or sequence. If in a dream you see the devil and he or it talks to you does that make you evil or crazy? Dreams are more a thing and the more sense or nonsensical dream you have depends on your total experience that the brain has to draw upon to make sense of the dream.
