Birth control gives women power, both in refusing to have a child that he wants, or forcing him to be a father, when he doesn't. Yes, he can refuse sexual urges, but women are pretty good at overwhelming that choice. He can wear a condom, but often fail, and can be tampered with. Also, women can also impregnate themselves after just having oral sex.
A man cannot get a vasectomy until a certain age and only with the permission of his spouse. My daughter got her tubes tied without her husband even knowing it.
Now the male birth control is a possibility. Married and single men can choose not to be a father. What will this do for women wanting to be a mother, especially for those who target high income men? A Florida woman gets $10,000+/month on four children, all tax free, and she's still considered low income since she doesn't hold a job.
