Fact from Fiction, truth from diction. It is more of a hypocrisy then discrimination, Because women by in large, frown on having naked t*i*t*s anywhere. even if the women was breast feeding(which everyone says is better for baby.....so long as the public don't have to see it). Women get up in arms and get their panties in a bunch if there are women around who is not wearing a bra and you have visual "bullets" about her breast. Anything that LOOKS like a nipple is a big no no. If it were a festival or party and the t*i*t*s where painted, and you could not distinguish the nipples then it de facto OK, society will let it slide. You can see the top of the t*i*t8s, the bottem, the sides, an even the entire t*i*t, so long as you don't see nipple. If women wanted to be complete like males at the pool or the beach, or just playing "shirts and skins" b-ball organizations like NOW would be demanding it. but the fact they say I want pay like a man, job opportunities like a man, but those women who want to be shirtless like a man I don't want it. Is about as credible as a person protesting the wearing of leather but won't give up their fur coats.

If girls were out swimming without anything covering their breasts then boys would just end up staring and getting erections which is not reall approperiate in public especially at a swimming pool.

Also with teenage pregnancies... those young mums produce milk and who wants milk leaking into the swimming pool? It offends some narrow minded people.

If guys want, they can buy a swimsuit to cover your own nipples like the victorian men.... or wear a wetsuit or drysuit! (Or a t-shirt).

I think men/boys should be allowed to cover their nipples if they felt insecure about going topless.

if you feel that this is discrimination, you are free to expose your nipples in public pool to be the same as men.

because their nipple is special...don't you agree?
its like a symbol of...umm..i don't know..but its something that god gave to women where men will be at awe if the size is good enough...enough to make us starred it all day long..forgetting that we came to pool to swim..not to stare..hahaha

that is why they cover it up..in pools..

Because of 'indecent exposure' laws, I'm afraid.
And social conditioning, I'm not sure you'd find many women willing to swim naked on top, you'd feel really self conscious.

Actually, I'm not certain that they do. It probably depends upon the laws in the state where you reside.

... from some of the beasts of women in public pools, they need their entire bodies covering, it's not such a bad thing!

Because guys wouldn't able to handle it and would be tripping all over the place and making idiots out of themselves.

Tribal taboo.

If one is politically correct, this is obviously discrimination.

Because they are expected to do so by society, it is conditioning.
