Whenever I see men complaining
that their wives aren't cooking them meals of their choice,
or that their wives want to go to work but are restrained because their husbands think that they should be spending more time at home
or that women should only work in a time of a crisis,
or that women cannot adjust at work so they should dedicate their time at home doing simple tasks…

Do I have no right to be a bit upset and complain? I guess that makes me a feminist for some, but really I just want both sexes to have equal right. I am so glad my parents are not like this. They have no problem with me earning, even if it means earning more. But there are some people I know who have this attitude and it's upsetting because although they let their children have an education, it seems that it’s wasted.

Men: What do you think is the worst thing about the way most guys act?

Women: What do you think is the worst thing about the way most gals act?

Usually it's one side or the other harping on the other, so let's have a bit of honesty about ourselves this time. I'm a man, and I would say that a lot of guys just aren't sensitive enough to a gal's concerns. Most guys also don't take enough responsibility on themselves in a relationship. We also tend to make bodily noises more often then they do -- I guess that's a cultural thing. Oh, I know we often aren't forgiving enough when they're in their period (whether we know it or not), because we really don't have a clue about that. We get irritated too easily because they're emotional instead of logical like us, when that's what makes us who we are.

Interesting question came to me while reading people threatening to rend that persons spleen from his body with blunt implements. As a male drive, I've been told, to my face, that my rates are higher than that of a female driver in my same position due to statistical data stating that man are more likely to cause/be involved in accidents due to negligence.

Now, the question; If they had done the same to a female driver, how fast would they get sued for discrimination? Consider if they did this in a bank; If you wanted to open a bank account, as a female, but they apply the restriction that you have to carry a minimum balance as it is statistically proven (I'm making this up, its not true) that women bounce more cheques then males.

Moreover, does this not imply that men have gotten so use to being undercut that we don't care enough to put up a fight when something is obviously discrimatory? Or is it frowned upon for us to make waves/gripe about not getting what we want?

Here is what I mean - historically, culturally, antrhopologically - there does seem to be a link between the chastity of the females and the subsequent value/protection/security etc offered to them. 19th century for example women were deemed to be frail/non-sexual/in need of protection etc.. In our society where depictions of women are often misogynistic/sex objects etc women are very much devalued..

I wonder how much of this is to do with evolution with the following dichotomy being ever present - males want females to put out but at the same time sub-consciously do an assessment as to how sure they can be of paternity.. therefore prostitutes are the most villified/least respected of all groups women. This also perhaps explains why in promiscuous societies the women have to compete to most sexually overt but with the least/lesser chance of security - even in marriage the condition being to remain as sexually decorative as possible.

Any thoughts from answers community re same?

Are women better breadwinners than men?

2007-03-01 06:30:47 · 12 answers · asked by Specialist McKay 4

There are women who certainly can meet the physical demands of being police officer, and I know some excelent women police officers.

But there are too many women cops. Why? Because they have to meet much less stringent physical demands than men. For instance, when I took the CPD test, women only had to bench 40% of their body weight, while men had to bench 60% of their body weight. Men had to run the mile in one less minute than women.

There should be women cops. Even hypothetically, if no women was as strong as a guy (which is obviously false), you need women cops who can deal better with women criminals and women victims.

However, biology dictates that men will always be generally stronger than women. And since physical strength is a part of being a cop, there should be more guy cops than women cops.

We cannot allow women to have easier standards simply so there are equal number of men and women cops.
This is ridiculous

In the nature, we witness that almost always, the males are to chase the females for sex. Is it un-natural? Definitely, not. Because, when the female become fertile, they excite the males for sex by their activities and secreting feromon from their body. But the strange is that when a male goes to respond to that excitation, the exciting female exhibits as she is not willing for the action and tries to escape from the excited male! And at the end, it appears that the male did sex with the female by force (rape)! Is that a natural system for the survival?

If it is the natural system, then why chasing a woman by a man for sex would be a crime in human society? Is it that the men chase the women for forceful sex? Women don't have any role for this chase?
