Jenna Jameson is a sad role model. She is a person who lets people abuse her body for money. A role model is one who cares and takes care of other people. For example Mother Theresa.

I disagree.
I'm an escort, and I think that escorts and porn stars are the same, except that porn stars are famous and they make more money (considering they don't use condoms, it's fair enough).
Think about it that way: would you want your daughter to be a porn star? I wouldn't want that! I mean, girls who do that job have often been abused in the past, or they are really lost. And do you realy think it's great to get f*cked for several hours a day by people you don't care about?!
What the hell is this new trend of would-be feminism?! Selling your body for sex as something empowering? You must be kidding me! Men who come to see me want me to tell them that I enjoy myself, because (to their credit) either they want to feel better, or because they want to have a sl*t in their bed, and the same is true about men watching porn: they want to think that that girl on screen is really enjoying herself! But trust me, I'm not! It's not THAT bad, but I'm definitely not going to do that for much longer! It can be very depressing.
There was an interview of Jenna Jameson, and at no point in the interview did she say that she actually enjoyed herself. She talked about empowerment, and I would think that she feels more in control now than when she had been abused when she was younger.
There might be a few exceptions, of course, some girls who really like sex and get a kick out of it. But I definitely don't think it's the case with her. She now is a business woman, good for her. But she DID NOT take over the business. She's really famous, I agree, and very successful, but I really don't think that a role model should be someone who built a career from faking and with her p*ssy!
It's the same thing as when people say that women are in power when they can flash their ****, etc. I'm sorry, but it's just a male way of looking at things, really! People have forgotten what feminism was about.
I'm (obviously!) not against prostitution or porn, but I don't think it's something that should be seen as great careers!

Jenna Jameson. Quote; "is a person who lets people abuse her body". Which is a hit towards the men.
What about the men who are letting Jenna abuse their bodies?
Some of the participants with Jenna are women so WHO is abusing who?
Don't feel there is any abuse here.
I do not condone what they're doing But, certainly there is no abuse. They do what they do out of their own free will.
And, they are certainly not role models.
You should look for a better example of a role model than one who is constantly spread eagled' moanin and groanin and grindin on her back.

Your kidding right?
So you think a good role model for women would be someone who takes off their clothes in front of the camera, gets nailed repeatedly by different men and then gets paid? There is a term for this and it isn't "role model".
FYI: porn is still a male dominated industry. She didn't change anything. You are confusing what a participant makes and being in charge. Females in porn have always been the headliner and made more money than males. This hasn't changed since day one in that industry.

I'm not into porn, but I agree. I admire her for taking charge, being extremely successful in an industry that is predominantly dominated by men. I saw a show about her, maybe on HBO?, and I was so impressed. Some may have a problem with what she does, but I say more power to her. I think it makes a fascinating topic ans one that will definitely fuel discussion.

She is NOT a role model. I have little respect for what she does. If she wanted to be a role model, she would do something for the better of others and what she currently does may do that, but not in the matter I'm thinking of.

I think thats a new and interesting approach.
I think in some ways she is a good role model- she is successful and is a femal in in a domianted world. she is not bound by some midevil ideal about chastity.
I'd also look at other adult stars who have moved on to direct/manager their movies and still have families.

Are you kiddidng me!? The only reason a women is in the porn industry is 1. becuase she is forced to be a sex slave, like the asian women you see in porn and 2. Jenna was sexually abused, and to get her abuser back for what he or she did to her, she takes your money away from you by giving into your addiction for porn. It makes her feel like she is in charge instead of the abuser. She feels sexy, but she is still being abused sexually because she is still being used sexually as she was when she was being sexually abused by her abuser. Everything onher is fake, her boobs, her nails, her hair extentions, she has gotten plastic surgery, she probably doesn't eat much and shes gay, by the way, so she doesn't want you, no matter how much she shows you her body and smiles at you, she just wants your money honey. She may even be faking the on-screen orgasms. What kind of role model is that???

No. A role model should display high standards of morality. I have no problem with her decision to do what she does. But she should definitely not be considered a role model.
