A girl is generally a younger female. The line between girl and woman is blurry and depends on the usage. In a more formal sense, a woman would probably be any physical mature female, but colloquially you could call one a girl for the duration of their lives, although middle and old age would necessitate the use of "woman" more than girl. Some people find the term "girl" as offensive if the subject is a grown woman.
Ladies are the most important of these; some say lady is just a general term for a female, but a LADY is supposed to be:
(Straight out of the dictionary)
A woman who is refined, polite, and well-spoken:
"She may be poor and have little education, but she's a real lady."
That's basically it. Any female that meets those criteria is considered by society in general to be a lady.

Listen to the song 'Mother of mine'.
Mother of mine, you gave to me / All of my life, to do as I please / I owe everything, I have to you / Mother, sweet mother of mine.
Mother of mine, when I was young/ You showed me the right way, things have to be done / Without your love, where would I be / Mother, sweet mother of mine.
Mother, you gave me happiness / Much more than words can say / I pray the Lord that He may bless you / Every night and every day.
Mother of mine, now I have grown / And can walk straight, all of my own / I'd like to give you what you gave to me / Mother, sweet mother of mine.
A girl often grows to become a Mother who is an Woman/ Lady. So be courteous to Fair sex. Equate Mother Earth with your Mother and serve both with equal honesty.
Hope here lies the answer.
