Absolutely! There could be some really good reasons why you had weapons and threatened assault.
Just don't lie! That would be BAD.

Not a chance. Nor would I approve of such a thing for my child. I am sorry to say that I am a firm believer that where there is smoke, there is fire.
Just the fact you consider covering your acts with lies means you are setting yourself up for a sad wake up call some day. It also means you are not ready to own up and accept responsibility for your crimes. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy in such things.
Sorry to take a hard line, but I am being honest. I have had enough of loving a man I thought I could "fix". It never works.

well i will answer as if i were still in the dating population...
it would depend on how old you were, how long ago it was, and if you still do such things. and lying would be an indication that you are not worth dating, regardless. you should tell them, but only after you get to know each other.
my husband, for example, has felonies, but they are all from when he was 12-16. he was honest about it when we were dating (told me about 3 month in), expressed remorse, thought i would leave him. and he obviously doesn't do things like that anymore, and it had been 6+ yrs since he was convicted. he was in jail for nearly his entire teen years.
and it doesn't add any drama to my life, he isn't a brash teen any longer, he is a mature man. (and i have all my teeth, thanks)
the poster above has it right, thankfully his are not on his record, but he has a misdemeanor from when he was 19 that still comes up & blocks him from certain jobs.
the poster below is right about at least one thing: it never works to try and change someone else. but people CAN change themselves.

It would depend on the circumstances of each incident. I would never actively pursue anyone who was a felon, but if I already knew that person and liked them alot, I might give them a chance to prove to me that they are no longer like that, and have seen the error of their ways. I am not real judgemental when it comes to criminals, because I realize everyone has their low points. I guess it just really depends on the type of crime, and the amount of regret.

Sorry, I'm a guy answering this question. Every girl is of course going to answer your question with a no. But dude, chicks love that sort of thing. They love the bad boy image man- believe that. And if you meet one that doesn't, lie through your teeth. Actually, you don't even have to lie! Just don't tell 'em! It's not like you have to walk down the street announcing that you have 2 felonies! Just don't tell a chick until they're in love! Most people keep some sort of secret from a person that they like until later in the relationship, why can't you? You don't go out on a first date with a nice girl and tell her that you banged 50 chicks before do you? Of course not! That crap comes up later when they're already in love and can't change their mind. And this whole process only takes about 2 weeks. With a mentally strong girl...maybe 3 or 4 weeks.
Bam...problem solved...best answer...10 points

I imagine under the right situation I could get to know someone (prior to a romantic relationship) and find out, and be okay with it. But to know off hand would ruin my impression and I would forever be concerned with the deeds done, and probably not be able to get past it. To find out that I'd been lied to would be grounds for immediate break-up.
I'm sorry this isn't the answer you were looking for. But I have to be honest.

Trust me ...Not trying to be rude at all but I would be more worried about what it is going to look like on job applications if convicted of a two felonies.

Only if he could prove that he'd changed. Proof of anger management courses and therapy, as well as at least a year with no problems.
Of course, lying won't help you. If you omit this information, chances are you'll be hurt a lot worse when a woman leaves your for being a felon and a liar.

Truth? Nope. But there is definitely somebody out there for you. Not everybody thinks the same way. Don't lie, though. Be up front and take your chances.

Lying ? Boy girls DIG felons/rebels. A friend of mine in America told women he had been in prison (a lie) it did not only land him women, he always ended up with the hottest woman aviabale snatching it away from under the nose of guys who were by far better looking, more athletic or richer (or all 3).
