He had plenty of run-ins with authority, and was well-known to ‘the system’:

One Citizen Observes:
“The mentally ill become dispensable in a society that only values wealth and beauty (and youth).

I think it is also interesting to note that people are confused and want to know "Why Von Maur." The answer is really quite basic - Von Maur is the nicest store in Omaha. It represents affluence to many in this city.

I am guessing that Robert Hawkins felt alienated and isolated from other people. He felt the sting of poverty (which is why his parents put him in the system - it was the only way that they could get help for him). Status is important to teenagers, and classism is alive and well in this city just like is most everywhere. Kids can be merciless if you don't wear the "right clothes" or drive "the right car."

These days the trend is to be more materialistic in life and trying to copy the West. There are pressures everywhere - workplace, education, sports etc. There was time, not long ago, when we used to enjoy simple things in life - attending a marriage function, visiting native place etc. Are we slowly loosing the real happiess in persuit of money?

I am sarcastic and witty; however, I would like to be nicer in general and sometimes things pop out of my mouth without me meaning to say them. How can I stop myself from being so sarcastic (sometimes mean/hurtful, if the person isn't there)??

I see two different people when I look in the mirror and when I look at photos of myself. My pictures look worse than how I see myself in the mirror. Am I just imagining things or does everyone experience a similiar problem? And with that in mind, which would be a more accurate portrayal of one's self?

mit to our obvious limitations? We will be able to travel to other planets and return to say whether we found life there. We will never be able to travel to a place of life after death and return to tell of it. Shouldn't we admit that we can never know the latter, and stop building religions based on things that were invented in our imaginations?
(That includes things that we imagine when we are dying, and may remember if they manage to revive us.)

I've noticed in my two decades of playing video and/or computer games that gamers are predominately male, though there is a strong minority of female gamers, but why so few?

If you are a female gamer, what genres do you enjoy? If not, what do you think the game industry needs to attract more female players?

I keep having dreams about the end of the world and I'm always the last person on earth. What does this mean? Everyone I know and all dies and I'm left alone. My dreams never show me going to heaven or going to hell, I just stay standing on earth. And everything is either blowing up or burning around me but I'm left unscathed.

I see everything black or white, which sucks!! i try to change my negative thinking, but sometimes these thoughts get to me and control my emotions. I am very hard working, but when the outcome is not as expected, i get these bad thoughts about how much i suck and i at the time i do believe these negative thoughts about myself, although there is this other part of me that knows that i just want to feel sorry for myself. That other voice in the back of my head telling me to stay strong and move on.

I have a bad habit of drinking too much at times. When I do stop I have dreams that end up comming true. The first time that I realized this was when I had not had a drink in about 8 months. I kept having dreams about babies crying, they had passed away.I told my councelor about these dreams. She told me that the building that we were in used to be an abortion clinic long ago.Another time I stopped alcohol for about 3 months. I had a dream that I was on a train. The train came to a sudden stop. The conductor announced over the speaker that he had to stop because there were two little boys playing on the track.
The next morning when I woke up I thought nothing of the dream. On my way home the train stopped. The conductor said that there were two little boys on the track and when they move we would be moving shortly.
This kind of dreams only happens when I dont drink alcohol. There are more, but I have no more room. When I start to drink again the dreams go away. What is the cause?
